Today we got the new pistons in and the cylinders on without screwing up anything. Even got the cam chain tensioner and guide installed correctly. 8)
Hopefully next week we'll get the rest of the assembly done. I don't know if a 1mm over bore will add any extra performance and I only rode it once before it started having issues so I have nothing to compare to.

That's because I smoothed every fin by hand with a file. Sometimes I get carried away. 8)

Yesterday I found something I have no knowledge of and got new pistons and rings into the +0.050 over bored jugs from Hondaman.
Tomorrow...install rebuilt head and Cam Assembly hardware.
If anyone has experience with the  Cam tower bolts and the impressions I see from the semi-circle cut out in the rocker shafts I'd appreciate any and all feedback.

bled the front brakes, sync'd the carbs, mounted the tank

and then ...

took her for a maiden voyage for all of a 1/4 mile (two trips to the nearby cul de sac) since the rear brakes are not yet functional. Other than that, everything worked.

Went for a ride after shortening the rear fender.

CB550 front forks and swing arm, shorty shocks.

I'm 212, and did not rub a bit. Rode good enough for me.

It looks like a Dyna-S.

Make sure that the wires are strapped down away from the rotor with nut.
Insulation will shave off quickly and a short with sudden stop can happen.

It's a Dyna S, the wires are not close to the nut. The ignition came with the bike when I bought it. One hard chore left to do, install the carbs.

Time for new sprockets and chain for the cb750K3. Sprockets totally worn out and the chain was snagging and noisy. Checked my notes and never replaced them. Had the bike for almost 15 years…… My bad.

Nice
While it was off did you pull the drive flange out to inspect the rubber dampers and clean out the old grease from the bearing (it's open to the wheel side) and put fresh grease in the bearing? That will make a seemingly bad bearing come back to and extend it's life. I just did that to a wheel for the K6 project.

Stu….. I did. Pried it off with a 4’ length of 2” X 4” lumber, before I unbolted the old sprocket. It looked so clean, I just banged it back into place.
