what a beautiful blue!

Yes, it's real Candy Sapphire Blue! Look like the typical gemstone sapphire.... a little bit darker than the original that had more turquoise tone than blue.
Look better with this clear blue as the stone... I have found parts for sale on eBay where the color look darker as mine.

The finish is really nice. No scratches or dents that I was worried about should happen during shipping or by the customs people. Its not possible to take photos  without reflexes looking like scratches or other defects.
More photos here in different light.

I understand why many of the tanks are sold out at Yamiya750. A good x-mas this year :)

I do not know when I'll use it on my bike. After adjustments, bike back in driving status in the registry and I have practiced my driving skills and handle the bike in general. I remember the old mistakes....
I do not want to see a scratch in the paint....

Added the missing "Quiet memo" holes to my early K2 frame. Curious? See page 4 of my build thread for details.

Put the front wheel, front brake perch and tailight on. I need to bleed the front brake and it will be ready to take off the jack and put exhaust back on.

Warm weather, rode around like an idiot.  The total commute miles are 75 today, while the distance from my home to the office is 20 minutes of easy walking.

Dorothy gets lost all the time.

I just ordered a new buzzer from CMS in the Netherlands after getting a mail that they got some in (it was on my watch list).

Awesome find! Thank you for sharing! When you get it you'll have to let us know if it sounds right too. :)

That will be a while longer. I just put the crank case back together. Now I am waiting to get my cylinder back (I am installing + 0.25 pistons). The sound of the buzzer usually is a good indicator in what shape your battery is.  :)
36 years ago, I took the buzzer out because I felt it was annoying. Now, I find it pretty neat to have one. If nothing else, it will get me attention.  ;)

OK............................this isn't something I did........or maybe.

The horn will blow fine when I'm doing 75 to 90 mph down the road but will not operate at lower speeds/rpms.

It tries but no sound........just a clunk sound.......hard to explain.

Ground and reground, cleaned terminals, plugged st8 into the battery and works.
If it ain't raining, I'm riding.....~~{iii}?~~prost

If it sounds like I know what I'm talking about, it's because I cut and pasted from someone else.

Rebuilt my front forks, with new fork tubes, progressive springs, seals, gaters, and top tube caps. Getting real close to having a "roller" again. Its been a year and a half since I had the bike on two wheels. Tomorrow I am taking the new front wheel in to get "trued" and balance the new tire, so I can mount it on the bike, too.

I've just about finished rebuilding Mike's K2 engine. Is it just me, or is a black engine kinda........... sexy? ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Ha ha, yeah Adam, I should have finished this one earlier, but working at bloody Air Force bases 150 miles from home really slows down my productivity, ha ha! Cheers, Terry. ;D

I did finish a port job on a head for my K1 today.  Now all I need is someone to cut valve seats for nothing....or a bottle of scotch my choice of course and not top shelf.

Received a r/h mirror from an eBay seller today. Unwrapped it to find a security number etched right across the middle of the glass. Emailed him, complained (he said he hadn't noticed, must be doing something to damage his eyesight), and got a full refund. He told me I could bin the mirror.

Couple of hours later and with a lot of elbow grease and rubbing compound the etch has gone, and I've just bolted on my free mirror. Result!

New clipons were hitting the tank so got some quick steel and built up the stops.
Stared at the bike for a while and got nothing done.

More progress on the engine tear down, but stuck trying to get the piston jugs out. Its only stuck pretty hard in the front right corner (#4 exhaust) and isn't budging. Rest of pried loose with just bare hands, as did the head. Please advise in my build thread, any and all help is appreciated.
