The beat goes on and apart it comes. I hope to have the engine on my workbench this weekend.

Rode mine to a buddy's house to help him rebuild the carbs on his new project, a '80 KZ750 Twin!

Today a crusing day with my CB750K2!
This time not carb testing, nor ignition  testing in legal speeds 3500-4000 rpm on 5:th gear. Charging adjustment and test. The last days cruising had almost drained battery totally after around 300 km.

Adjusted regulator, turned the adj screw in 1/4 turn which most likely fixed it. The charging supervision LED is now green from 4000rpm, allow reducing throttle to 3500rpm and still happy. It must be the relay that switch over and keep staying "high" down to 3500rpm with headlight on. LED H4 consuming 30W.
No overvoltage either with and without headlight on, LED should then flash green-red.

So far I got me front brake lines installed and painted up the brackets for the splitter and also the tail light I installed a couple months ago. I'm on my way back from the hardware store with stainless hardware to extend the center stand stop.

I have also been working on smoothing out the tank dents to get ready for paint next weekend and making sure the tail piece is also smooth and ready for paint.

I picked up this '72 the other day for $30 bucks, $25 of the $30 went to replacing the lost title slip.  The The PO spray bombed the bike. Luckily for me Flitz is removing the spray bomb paint and she is coming around. I should mention I slapped a battery in and everything functions.

Speedo, tacho faces look rather good. These are usually flaking inside by sun and age, especially these old K2.

Wow! Bargain! That's the difference between the US and every other 1st world country, stuff in the US is cheap! This is what you get in Oz for more than 10 times what you paid for your K2! ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

The tach does look as if it's from a different model, I really do not know. The speedo did have over spray. Luckily it cleaned up with acetone.  Flitz for everything else. I may give this one to the 19 and 15 year old to work on and learn how to wrench. As of now she is sitting in the shed

I bought an engine from the wreckers years ago and forgot about it.

I decided to pull it apart to rob some bits for a 1000cc build and discovered the “parts engine “ seized. It has a hole in the crankcase from chain failure and cam gear bolt was unreachable.

A little marvel mystery oil and it should be good to go!

A friend of mine once said "that's easy to fix...........all you have to do is start rubbing it with 100 dollar bills!"

The barrels where persuaded off, but I don’t think they are reusable.

Here’s the tools I used.
