Scott,

The two up seat is a good idea. My daughter has been working on bikes with me since she was four and has been riding with me on various bikes since she was 5. She is 11.5 now and wants me to take her to school on the back of the ZX12R some time...lol. We have a CB350 twin that we are working on for her. Your "girls" will love it the experiance.

Lots of work ahead... DO yo have something else you ride while the project is down?

Scott,

Now that I am deep into this CB madness....My opinion is that 2-up is the way to go!

I think a stock bike with a few custom touches is the way to go on these bikes.

What are you doing for handlebars?

Yes.....if I could do my bike again, some things would be different....that's not to say I don't like it....jsut that I'd like to have a stock 750 more than anything.....a fully restored K0 or K1 would really be right down my alley.

The tank looks great - I especially dig the spade on the gas cap cover!  Nice polish on the rear brake cover, too.  I've spent the past couple days trying to figure out a polishing sequence on my little 6" bench grinder, so I've got a new appreciation for all things blingy!

Thanks theofam the polish turned out pretty good given I have been using a corded drill with a cheap polishing kit from the local hardware store. However my drill is going to be toast at the rate I am going so I am going to have to get a bench polish kit.

Thanks to spikey I have an awesome tank and that great cover.. Can't wait to paint it up and get the bike together..

Yea, we only talked about 10min but he seems like a great guy.. I hope we get to talk shop soon over a beer soon.. Joe, its ok.. I guess I am slow is all.. ;)

Now I think I maybe f'd with the back rim. Here is the deal I went out to lace it to the hub and found that the hub has 40 spoke holes but the rim only has 36.. I gotta assume that means I can not use that rim..with out swapping out to a 35 spoke hub...Some one please tell me I am wrong!!!!

Dang..

Well my rim only has 36 holes in it and so I have the wrong one. That sucks.. cause I this could hold things up for a while.

This is what I need..
http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=67961.msg750257#msg750257

So if anyone knows where I can get one please let me know. Ebay only has the one rim.

Thanks I am working on it. Its not yet a show stopper but it could be, its what I really want on there and so going to the stock rim has to be the absolute last resort. Also yes Spikey did it turned out AWESOME.. Its smooth as silk also so I am very much indebted to him for taking time to do it. I will give it a light wet sanding before I paint it just to remove any soot from the my garage and to be sure its clean for the new paint.. but that is next week.. Thanks for watching out for the rim...

Is the 36 hole rim alloy or stock steel?

So you solved the rear rim problem? Do you have a 36 hole drop center 16 as extra now? That would look super cool on a 400 drag bike.... Hmmmm.

Yup have the rim and the spokes and the ends.. Its chrome (so I would assume steel) and in great shape. It just has 36 where I need 40..

Just PM me if you want it.. I attached a picture of it with my hub.

Actually it was listed as a 76 CB550F hub when I bought it. However I can't be sure and I have not been able to figure out for sure...
So it works and its what I have for now so...

It does look a lot like a 75 CB750 F tho.. It works so I am just happy I can use it.
