The Happy New Year thread

Alrighty as NZ is the first country in the world to see the new year it is only fitting that a Kiwi kicks off the Happy New Year thread. ;D
Today my partner and I had our last ride for 2009, tomorrow we will have our first ride for 2010, normally I'd wait until midnight to kick this off but as I'm going out in my boat fishing early in the morning I'm gonna start now. :D
So to all my forum buddies, fellow members and wrenchers, may 2010 be as useful and fortunate as the last year, if you needed luck in 2009 maybe it's coming in 2010.
There are still barn-finds about and great deals to do......Happy New Year one and all.....Hush. :)

I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Happy New Year to all SOHC members. May you find what you have been searching for this New Year. I will not be getting in any riding based on the snow and ice we have in WI. Current temp this AM is 20, but it is the snow and ice on the road that keeps me inside. Have a safe evening be responsible tonight.

HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEARS FROM up here in CANADA!!!!


I wish I could go riding!....but there's too much snow on the roads...and frostbite sets in quick.

I wish I could go fishing!...but the ice on the lakes is still to thin to walk on "safely"

SO TONIGHT!...I will drink with friends, have merry cheers, may end up running through the snow neked...and salute to all!!!  Enjoy the turn of the first decade of this millenium! May the New Year bring many Good Times!

Sorry to burst your bubble Hush but the honor belongs to the Republic of Kiribati (formerly the Gilbert Islands)
of which Tarawa (site of the bloody battle in WWII) is one of the islands that make up the republic.  I think they have a national slogan something like "where the day begins".  You probably have the honor of being first on the board unless we have any members from Kiribati. ;)  Anyways have a happy new year and I hope those whales did not come ashore near you.  Man that has gotta stink after a bit. ;D

Happy New Year from California, one of the last States to enter the new year.  My New Year is already looking better with a job offer from Honeywell in the works as we speak: Lead Technition on the Las Vegas Airport expansion project.

Happy New Year to everyone!! I'm not the joining type (clubs and such) but joining this forum has been one of the smartest moves I've made... since buying my 550.  ;D

Friendly folks sharing information, advice, wisdom, and a wee bit of humanity to boot. A pretty good deal I'd say.  8)

I think Kiribati changed their time zone in an effort to get bragging rights but Mount Hikurangi up at Gisborne is the recorded first site to see the sun daily ha ha............
