Topic: Gear shift lever

Hey everyone,
I need to replace the gear shift lever on my '75 CB550F Supersport after it literally FELL OFF on my way home from work today (I had to get home in fifth gear!). Anyway, I can't seem to find an OEM part, so I may need to go to eBay. Are those things relatively interchangeable, or are they very specific to the year/model?

They are probably still available through the dealer, and definitely available from the aftermarket in various degrees of quality and price.

some had diffent bends etc,,a generic one from some dirt bike outlet might even work ok,if you still have the sample try and size one up at any bike shop,,the spline seems common amoung plenty of makes,too bad you didnt have some self locking pliers in your pocket,they make great temporary levers.

vice grips we call them here,,so we have vice grip levers all over,,so next noob thread first question is,"i want to cafe my perfect showroom bike"where can i get half a dozen vice grips in a mettalic anodised cafe colour?with pods?

PM sent. Also Parts-n-More has two levers available for the 750 (still can't find part numbers yet to cross-reference), one is stock while the other has more toe clearance for $9.00 each if you don't want a used one.

It looks like lever number "#19-0071" is pretty close. I think the other lever ("#19-0070") is designed for a little more toe room since it looks longer and has an extra bend in it.
