Topic: 750k to 750a tank and seat swap. Will they fit?

My gf just picked up a 78 cb750a. I need a tank, and the seat is torched will the tank from a 77-78 k fit? Thanks Also will the pipes interchange from the K and F bikes?

I have read in a couple of threads that the seat and the tank will direct swap as long as they are for the same year(s) bike, but note:  (IIRC) There was something about the 76 being different than the 77/78, but can't remember if thats an issue.

Can anyone confirm? I sold a 78 cb750a seat once but thought it was different from the 750k seat. I cant see why the tanks would be different except color and the gas gauge.

I'm thinkin' the tank will fit, but the seat hinge may be different...

The 77/78 K and A tanks will swap, the K tank does not have the sending unit for the fuel gauge. Don't know about the seats.
