You are right Mike, the only one who may know what happened is Sam. It really does not matter anyway. The point is you cannot live your life backwards. He has to heal and that will take some time. I would send up a Prayer, but I don;t thing the big guy would recognize my voice.
Flying helicopters in Vietnam qualifies you for a voice anywhere Bobby. He would hear you brother. ;) Now...that stuff you did in Vegas............. ;D
Well, yeah I guess I could give it a try. The Vegas things seemed like a ideas at the time. There is a Church down the road I pay every Month for some reason. I will stop in tomorrow.
It's painless brother. The Vegas gig sounded pretty interesting if you ask me. You don't have to light candles Bobby though I truly understand paying dues. Anyway..............your support is what is needed.  ;) You're a good man too bro. ;)

Mike, I gotta light a candle, I am Catholic and the Nuns get you young Bro.  Sam will be OK.

Already sent my contribution. Get well quickly Sammy!!!

Did not have time to chime in earlier when "cause" was being discussed but here's couple of facts that I don't think were mentioned previously. The guy on the scooter on the return road in the video saw the whole thing from just a few yards away and Mike and I got his version right after Sam was air lifted out. He actually jumped the retaining wall, lifted the bike off of Sam, and rolled it over to the retaining wall. He said the bike rolled just fine same as it did when Mike pushed it back to the pits from the tower. He said there was some fuel leaking from the carbs as you might expect after a fall. He also said the bike was not running when he lifted it off of Sam. Sam's safety tether would have flipped the kill switch even if it was still running prior to the fall. I personally think the engine was already dead judging from Sam's reactions and because the main fuse was blown when we got the bike back to the pits and had to be replaced before the bike was restarted. Similar thing happened, blown main fuse, at Bradenton back in November but fortunately there was no mishap on the track. But the lady towing Sam back to the pits did turn too sharply entering the pits and pulled Sam right down on the ground. Keith

Good recall Keith, I remember it as well. The fuse at Bradenton failed just as he crossed the finish line.

Blowing a fuse and sitting up makes sense! Not sure that's why he sat up, but it goes with his body language! Time will tell. Bill
Also, blow the fuse, no rear brake light to see, maybe rear brake was on at one point. Too many unanswered questions, may always be that way. Sam just needs to get well, that's the important thing. Cheers, Bill

Bill, just simply out of curiosity, would a complete loss of power equate to a full or partial loss of control in that type of environment.

Setting aside Sam's situation, does decelleration on a "sprayed" track have a negative effect over the control of a machine.
Not by any means attempting to reignite speculation here.

On a real positive note fellas....if any of you were on the fence about a donation, Russ Collins Jr has just posted this to the Sam Green Recovery Fund FaceBook page;

Russ Collins you are just AWESOME!

Please help....and look cool doing so!

Everyone donating at least $25 dollars to the Sam Green recovery fund will receive a t- shirt like the one Sam is wearing below. The fund administrator just needs to send me a name, address, size and color white or black and RC Legacy will send you a shirt.....may take a bit to get to you as I am low on stock but we will be printing again in 3 weeks ....you bigger folks may get lucky...have stock.

When Sam is again hoisting one as below he can tell me to stop. (I'll need proof by photo of course).

Mick, normal circumstances you blow the fuse, you just coast to a stop. Obviously, brakes still work, but don't know if he used them or not. I will see when we talk if he remembers a fuse blowing? Commerce switching to Valdosta for August 1-3 race changes things some, we just have to be patient now and see how recovery goes, Bill
What Russ did way cool, told him so! Russ, you da man! K. ;D

Alright, more good news. Just spoke with Sam! Much, much better! Knows where he's at and how he got there! Jon Weeks your flowers are there and looking good! Way to persevere. Sam is pining for some conversation/ or a visitor. Bring your computer if possible to show him his page etc. He'll probably want to watch video! I told him what I thought happened, fuse blew, he sat up etc. Doesn't remember right now. But did say"it ain't supposed to do that" haha. He's so much better today. Even nurse said so. You want to call PM me , I'll give you contact info. Dusterdude , she agreed on parking, but said there's a deck also. PM me if you want her number, she can probably help you find it. Anna her name, his nurse. Larry calling this afternoon, I'll check in again tonight. He did ask why am I in a hospital in Va. early on. He's on the mend big time, so cool, but still going need $$$$, $800.00 saline IV bags that cost a $1.00 add up!  ;D Bill

KMB... since you and the other team members have the forum here covered, I, with the help of Mike Entner (Miguel) have been pushing a facebook page called Sam Green's Recovery. You can view it by clickin on it

https://www.facebook.com/samsrecovery

We've had about 2000 visitors and over 100 "Likes" (you don't have to understand ;) ) in 48 hours. These are all people who have been touched by Sam but aren't members here (tho some are), so they are coming here to get updates, contribute, and post comments and pictures. Please feel free to do so and share with your friends.

I guess we should stick to one shirt per contribution.....hint. Jonathan will provide Bill with the list of donors and we'll do our best to be sure everyone who should get one, does.

Hi all, I am sitting here with my nice nurse who is helping me type this! Would really like to know what went a mess at the weekend if anyone knows the details. Bill, how's my bike looking? Not pretty, I'm sure. If anyone knows where my bomber jacket is, my glasses were in the left arm pocket next to the pen. Not sure if there is a way to have those sent here, but I am at VCU Health System in Richmond, Virginia in the main hospital on the 11th floor in room 414B if anyone would like to visit or call. My room number is (804) 649- 5866.

All the support means a great deal. I will try and keep you updated as best I can.

I spoke to my Dad a few hours ago. He is still very groggy, in a lot of pain and still confused to an extent. Although he may seem to be on the mend getting nurses to type for him and giving his number out, my i ask that you give him the peace and time that he needs to recover. If you do call then keep it short and simple. All i ask for is that he gets the rest that he needs to recover. Again, thanks to all that have donated and wished him a speedy recovery.

May I ask what the extent of his injuries are?  I'm a clinical type of guy so I like to know these things.
