Topic: 1973 cylinders

Hi,
I´m into helping a friend restoring a CB750 K2. His cylinder was bad so he bought a used but fine looking cylinder.  When I looked at it today I could tell him that the new cylinder was from an 1973 or later because of the bigger holes for dowels and the tubelike seals. Is it possible to match that type of 1973 cylinder with an K2 cylinder head? Are there any differences to the head that will make this match fail?
I have looked at pictures and the underside of later heads and they look pretty same to me? Anyone knowing this?

All 69-78 CB750K cylinders are interchangeable. 

Of course, any self respecting CB750 owner would not install 78' cylinders on a sandcast engine!

Hell yes! Especially to torque off a "sandie"

Unfortunately my sandcast had 73 top end on it, it's for sale in the classifieds.
