Topic: Caliper and fender positioning on fork 500K1

One of the photos I forgot to take before removing the old fender and caliper. 
Does the fender bracket go flush with the fork or wheel-side of caliper bracket?  I have a picture from the original manual but it's still not 100% clear to my myopic eyeballs!

The caliper bracket goes directly on the forkleg, the fender on the wheelside. If you try it otherwise you'll see it won'f fit nicely anyway....

With the fender on the wheel side it makes room for the hard pipe from the caliper to fit between the fender bracket and the fork lower, above the caliper bracket.
