Idle starter reduction gear

Hi everyone

I’m look for some advice. My idle starter reduction gear is chewed along with my starter motor. I’ve sourced a starter motor, but finding it hard to get a reduction gear (I’m in the UK).

My question is, would either of these be a direct replacement for a Cb750k k5?

Do I have any other options for replacement reduction gears using the stock starter motor?

I’d go with the first one. Do you have the washer that goes on the outside?

Thanks for the advice! I’ll need to source the washer too, again quite hard to find in the UK.

The last time I needed that washer, I had a hard time finding one! Ended up buying a complete, scrap motor. Leaving it out (previous owner) is what destroys the gears....Good Luck.

I'll send you a washer for the price of postage if you can't find one. Should fit in a standard letter envelope taped to a piece of card stock. PM me your address and I'll get a postage quote.  8)

Let me get you a shipping quote to include the gear too. Along with the spare washer I've got a spare gear, so if shipping the gear is not cost prohibitive I'll send the gear as well.  8)
