Wow!  Nice shops all around!

Here's a picture of my cluttered mess.. (commentary below!)

The picture makes it look a lot smaller than it really is.  Also, I really do need to put some of this junk away/donate some crap/call special trash.  I promised that toddler bed (up on end) to some dude at work months ago!  CRAP!  You can't see it in this picture, but I have a somewhat organized tool area in the corner behind the bed.  I think I might try to put some shelves in the other corner, where the wall is at an angle, this winter.  Anyways, it's hard to tell from the pic, but the garage opens up to a good bit of space on the sides of the bike, so I can work on it OK.  I've only come close to falling down over the junk 2 or 3 times!

Also, let me draw your attention to the 1970's pinball machine in the back..  No household is complete without one!  This vintage is of the kind before all the circuit boards, so it is loaded with relays, contacts, bells, roller-wheel scoring, etc.  Much fun!

well i managed to get some better shots of my shop a couple nights ago...its been reorganized a bit with the arrival of my roomates second project bike a 1975 Harley Sportster that his dad gave to him.

The small red tool box in the one pic is my roomates while mine is the industrial style heavy steel orange one. (the one behind the chopper and car seats)

We just moved into our new house in New Mexico, and we are building a 20' X 30' garage and we don't own a car worth putting in a garage, so my Honders is gonna be well housed!

I finally got electricity 2 days ago, now the work starts!   I have to wait till spring to epoxy the floor, but untill then I have to put the cabinets up and drywall and actually work on a bike or two.

WOW!! I'm amazed at some of the excellent worshops shown in this thread. You guys are sooooo lucky! Mind you, considering that some people have nothin but the street, I'm quite happy with my facilities (as limited as they are).

What sort of bike is that pressed tin pile of crap to the right of the other bikes ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

If you have to ask, you'll never know... ;) ;D

Dan, the only pic of mine is on this site.

www.thundersprint.com

Click on starting sprinting, it's the second pic down.

All clutter removed, C100 Cub front end and lowered all round.

The bike has been extensively modded since the pic but still looks much the same.

Such as it is...

This is where I'm trying to learn my way around motorcycles...  :P

The bins on the left were left over from my wife's office, just taking up space against the walll.  One day I came home, and she'd gone into a frenzy and organized tools in them.  Not as a good as a good tool chest, but it definately works; and she vastly improved my previous 'method'  ::) .

Hey that looks brilliant Hahndy, although the springer front end on that Yam looks about as flimsy as you could possibly make it?

Please tell me you're removing it, not adding it? If you're adding it, can you quickly write me into your will mate? I reckon I'm in for a big payout real soon! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Heck yeah I'm adding it! Its not like it will get ridden as hard as the CB500 in the background. There are plenty of frontends out there like that, they are still holding up. Some are quite a bit longer. I had the frame custom built just so I could use that front end. Right now I'm working on the motor mounts to fit the yammie. The knobby tire will get me that extra traction off road though. Actually the front end came with a 19" wheel that didn't have any brakes at all. I'm fitting a 21" that at least has a little bit of stopping power.

Mate, that is just scary, but hell, who am I to try to dissuade you? Please write this down and pin it to your workshop wall in a conspicuous place:

"I, Hahndy, being of sound mind (?) and body, do leave all my worldly goods (including all booze, guns and porn material hidden under the chest of drawers in the spare bedroom) to Terry Prendergast from Oz, who tried to talk some sense into me, (but I didn't listen and now I'm a big pile of putrid hamburger, so that'll teach me!) on the understanding that he will cut the remains of that flimsy towel rack of a front end into little tiny pieces, so that no one else will be silly enough to attempt to fit it onto anything else that even resembles a motorcycle".

Cheers, Terry. ;D

hey... i'm just looking at those forks, hahnda.  it doesn't seem to me that it is really going to be a springer as the 2 "forks" on each side seem to be welded together and function as one.  is it just the picture playing tricks?

Its a girder not a springer. Plenty of movement there. There is even shocks to dampen so I wont be pogo-ing down the road like some springers can.

I love those girder front ends....all the mechanicals exposed.

Prefer the shorter ones....more of a bobber style, but that bike is gonna look the biz when its done....NICE!!
