Thanks guys, we now have it back on two wheels, and the job went surprisingly easy. It’s Monday now so Spotty’s going to start refitting the smaller items, and I’ll go over to give him a hand later this week. I got cleaned up by a Linfox truck on my way to work this morning so I’ll have to take my old Subaru to the shop tomorrow for the insurance inspection, so if I get time afterwards I might go around and help him bolt a few more items together. I suspect that the Rocket will outlive the Subaru sadly, it’s pretty banged up. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I was on the freeway in the lefthand lane (slow lane here in Oz) @ 60 MPH, and he apparently didn’t see me, and dove into my lane, hitting me around the rear door area, spinning me around (which was quite exciting watching all the other cars heading straight for me, with me at right angles looking out the driver’s side window) then pushed me into the service lane. The right hand (drivers side) of my car is smashed in for pretty much the length of the car. Was hard to see the extent of the damage in the dark (0530) but I’ll take some pics this afternoon after work. ;D

I'm sorry to hear of that Terry. I just missed some bonehead this morning in my minivan that pulled out in front of me after he got his coffee.  I could have T-boned him. So many distracted people in this world....

I got my buddy on at the local steel mill. Missed my call for a interview by 20 minutes. Spent seven days getting back a hold of them to be told I'm towards the top of the list of people they want to interview as far as qualifications go, but they don't have their next set of interviews scheduled yet. Sometimes working third shift is a curse because you never know when to sleep to be available when needed. And it pisses me off that you can call me I can call you back in 20 minutes and it takes me 7 days to reach out to get a hold of you.

So back to the Triumph. Spotty and I had a great day again yesterday, had no major issues re-attaching the frame back onto the engine, and we spent the time to clean and lube every bolt that we put back into it, as there was a little corrosion on some of the threads. Considering the size of the job and the weight of the bike, we were both pretty happy that there were no crushed fingers, bruises or cuts (well Spotty had a small cut on his hand that he attributed to opening his burger box) but all in all, it went well. Shouldn't be too long before it's making angry noises again. ;D

Thanks John, we had Uber eats deliver lunch both days, and found one place that made magnificent beef briskets burgers, which came in litle cardboard boxes. Yep I'll miss the old beast, I paid $500 for it in 2015, and nothing really went wrong with it. I'd only just replaced the old battery after the one that was in it died a few weeks ago, but had put new tyres on it in 2016, and was thinking about changing the oil and filter, but never quite got around to it. It was the same car that a young guy in a BMW clobbered a couple of months ago and paid me $700 to get it fixed, which I spent on some new tools from Vevor and some Rocket III parts. The insurance company will give me back $5000, which will be enough for another magnificent sh1tbox. I'm bidding on a Ford V8 "Ute" on Ebay that I probably won't win, nor do I need, but I do like V8's......... ;D

I bought the car in 2015, then after doing a few trips to Canberra in it I opted to lease a new Ford Territory. My mum was still driving Dad’s unreliable old Triumph TC2500, so I gave her the Subaru which she drove until 2021, by which time she was 93 and didn’t feel safe driving. Coincidentally a peanut doing a burnout at 2am smashed into my parked Mitsubishi and wrote it off. So Ma asked me to come and get the Subaru. ;D

I re-packed the back of the shop. I need to bring my 40 Chevy Coupe home from storage for addition of block hugger headers and a new exhaust system.  11 cb750's counting the drag bikes, the wife's XR70R for grandkids and a gl1000 in the front and a yamahopper in the trailer. Way too much.
Four of these were my brothers, he would like me to buy his cb500 sidecar bike and 76 gl1000 too.
In order, my brother's orange K4, red sandcast, blue-green diecast, late K0 in gold, K2 drag bike, 77K dressed like an F and a brown K0. On the lower right is the 71 hot rod named "Rat Race" Turbo motor on the stand and a K3 up on the shelf that started this all.
The red bike on the shelf is my late friends drag bike. Pieces of it are on the 71 Hot Rod.

Wow Don!!!

Getting ready to pull all the stuff out of the original building my lean to shop is built off of and purge/clean so I can move some tools and parts over to make room to get more done in the workshop. No pics yet.

My buddy just got a Softail soni think it will be the first bike on the lift after I finish this round of cleaning and organizing.
It's not charging. He just wants to replace everything in the charging system. I'm trying to talk him into a complete rewire while we are there. A 34 year old bike in my area used and abused by rednecks.

Clever use of a skateboard!

i used to have a Vmax engine strapped to it until one day i rolled it out of the carport into the driveway ( both of which were on a reasonable to severe slope - this slope also caused Terry's BMW chookasaurus to roll of its stand and whack the side of the clown car ), i wedged it up against the garden bed, turned round and heard the ominous noises associated with a motorcycle engine strapped to a skateboard trundling off down the hill, i started running while at the same time thinking "what the fcuk am i going to do even if i can catch it ?"  it rolled about 20 feet down the hill then fell over, momentum caused it to roll over a couple of times before coming to a halt just before it would have dropped off the small cliff on the other side of the driveway. if it had gone down there it would still be there.

Cleaned out the original building and restacked a lot of stuff. Don't have a pic of it currently just before I swept.

Going to turn it into some over flow for parts and such out of the main workshop.

Also got about half of the stuff to add a covered parking area for my main 2 bikes off the shop. Just need to get the other stuff and go from there.

Lumber is expensive lol. Looking at work for busted 9 foot pallets for rafters.
I was given a old garage door I'm going to use for 1 wall and prob part of the other wall. (Only need to build 2)

Slowly cleaning and organizing again.
The main goal is get the shop ready to use in the next week to fix my buddy's Softail. We are replacing the the whole charging system on it.
