Sarge always has the best #$%*.  The paint fading looks so much better than a gaudy over-restored one.

Thanks mate.

Takes 50years and 246.000 km to look like this.
Doc, I love a motorcycle!

You can probably trade that patina tank + side covers for a set with fresh paint + money!

An original good looking bike is something special.

I took a safe ride out to West Texas (barbecue) yesterday. It's advertised as the best barbecue in the state, and while I haven't sampled them all, I can say that the brisket sandwich is mighty good. I haven't been on Seymour road, Sharon Hollow road, or Pleasant Lake road for a while, but they are all good MC roads.

PeWe, if you ever get your Candy Garnet Brown CB over here, we could ride out to West Texas, I will buy lunch.

So, why is West Texas BBQ voted #1 in Michigan?  Are they from TX or MI?

If in California in San Luis Obispo try the Firehouse BBQ TriTip sandwich...very good!
For a great Tri Tip steak go to McClintocks in SLO. Mouth watering thinking about them...

I can't say where they're from, only that this is where they are. Michigan is not particularly known for barbecue, maybe West Texas is. The ribs are pretty good too, and decent MC roads are in the area.
PeWe has been showing us all of his good eats, thought I might do the same.

Food looks good and bike looks good too!  Just thought I would throw out a great Tri Tip place or two if you ever find yourself in the SLO area. Great place to vacation and they have lots of great MC roads too!
Just noticed the MI award on the side of the truck and found it funny.
If you had a BBQ Cook off in TX might result in blows as Texans are passionate about their BBQ.

Kevin, thanks a lot for your proposal! ;)
It would be fantastic to live over there with some CB's in the garage. I guess there still are plenty of parts to them on all salvage yards you have over there.

I'm currently away from my bikes. I'm eager to adjust the float heights on my blue K6 with following test ride on beautiful country roads and a nice meal. Carb 1,2 are plug sooteners.

I'll check the movement of the fork on my brown K2 after reading stiction threads here. It is a little bit bumpier than my K6 that has a smoother action. That brown is Peugeot Cuprite Brown Metallic often seen on their SUV 3008 commercial. It look like the K1 Brown. I need to make a sit beside one.

I have nice meals and drinks now all days long on Crete (Greece), but no bikes.
I have seen some old Honda's around here, no CB.

Andy , here is a map of where the bridge pic was taken.
we live on Hwy 97 which runs from Weed CA to Alaska.  we are 85 miles north of the WA state border.
the bridge is beside Hwy 3 , above Nighthawk..... 20 miles west of Osoyoos, about 2 miles from where 3 turns north.
Lots of Indian town names, Keromeos, Penticton, Kelowna, Olalla, Osoyoos, Tonasket, and many more.
Kamloops, Malakwa, Sicamous, Lillooet, Nakusp, are a few more..

I did a very pleasant 130 mile loop ride. Oroville to Bodiem Wauconda  to Tonasket, then over to Palmer Lake and back thru Nighthawk to Oroville. .. specracular varied scenery.  great riding roads around there.
the town of Molson just east of Oroville , is a semi Ghost Town. stil, folks living there, and a lot of old buildings still standing.  it's named after the Molson Brewing family from eastern Canadam and was the highest rail station in Washington State.  it's about a mile from the Canada border.

Perfectly legal in California, cops do it too.
think it looks scary ? wait till you visit there, and ride with folks from there., you have to do 40 to 45 mph to keep up, lose them and you are lost.  at least people wont try to door you, they will get the full brunt of the law come down on them.

91 freeway on my way to work people in the fast lane hang to the left and the next lane over they hang to the tight. That creates an unofficial motorcycle lane. I drive it 5 days a week and very rarely see an accident or the aftermath of one. Now cagers smashing into the back of other cagers, well that's a different story. I see as many as 4 or5 a day both to work and comming home.

Frank you have a pretty good eye. That video looks like PCH going south out of Seal Beach and into Huntington Beach/Bolsa Chica.

Reminds me of back home in Scotland or riding in London/Europe. Same thing in Japan. The only way to deal with traffic in my opinion  8). A lot safer than being rear-ended by some inattentive texting driver.

Hey Andy..

Those pics were beautiful (even if PeWee was drinking LOL).  Have you been to Japan recently? I'm about ready to come back to the States myself. 5-months for me here is a long time LOL.  I'm always a bit hesitant nowadays to ride on non-paved surfaces.  Too much clean-up on the bike afterwards.  Guess getting old does that to us LOL.  Haven't ridden @ all here. No bike.  Be glad to 'straddle the saddle' a bit when I return.  Hope  things are well with you.
