Good price indeed!
"....less than $200 USD) for the pair, with fitting and balancing, new Michelin tubes.... "

These tires fit a warmer climate better?
EDIT:
Found a 712 here 120/90-18 for around $150US. Only tire.... + Shipping....
I get a Michelin  Road Classic for max 10 more.

I read that Shinko has Japanese design and tech, former Yokohama. Produced in Korea.
Korea is a leading country for phones, TV, screens and a lot more, tires included. Not the best but have good tires too.

Yeah Per, they’re cheap (like me) but I wouldn’t put them on my K0 or Kawasaki Z1-B if they were no good. Correct, Yokohama sold their business to Korea many years ago and Shinko was born. I used to put Bridgestone BT45’s on all my bikes but got sick of the front tyres wearing unevenly after a couple of thousand miles so took Daves advice and put Pirelli tyres on everything, but honestly I can’t tell the difference between them and the Stinko’s, so why would I want to pay twice the price for Pirelli’s? I’ve read all the horror stories from the guys here, but they don’t align with my experience, so each to his own.

My 1996 Hyundai just won’t die, I’ve owned it since 2002 and in that time I’ve only replaced tyres, batteries, brake pads, one windscreen, and oil, fuel and air filters etc. no major repairs have ever been needed. I’d like to say that all Hyundai’s are great, but recently discovered that some late model Hyundai’s are lemons, with one of the 10 worst engines ever made, which is a shame. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

Thanksgiving Day was cool, but bright and the roads clean and dry.  So away the 750F and I went.

You might have a few days that are nice here and there;I'm from Ct. orig.  I used to 'Live' for a nice day to ride a little, here and there during the Winter when I was in my youth.

The long cold dark winter makes the first rides in spring fantastic!

Sone years we get a few spring days in  kate March- early April. Snow have returned 1 week in April the last years with 2 weeks off. Last years snow in the 2nd half of April.
Very annoying to then read about "Gobal warming" when I see the opposite. My biking interest make me to remember springs 45 years back.

My first 11 years with my K6, 1979-1990, the insurance was very expensive and income taxes here very high on a low salary so riding season was short anyway.
My jobs matched that very well with overtime to help with money for living a life.  Bike, bars, discos, girls/women, drinks and summer vacation going south where the sun was and still is.

I had no garage in house as I have now. Ok with months fixing things.
2 rideable bikes ensure a ride even when fixing the other.

Insurance now very low for full insurance all year and income taxes lowered too so riding all year around should not be a problem if weather/ climate is on my side.

The joy of first spring rides need still months of not riding for that special feeling.
3 months off should be enough, though. Not 5-6 months.

Or living in a country without winter, 2-3 months off due to the heat ;D

It's the salt put on our roads that does the damage.

I bought a 20 years old Bandit for my winter riding. Made the mistake this year of sprucing it up. General de-rusting, deferring, new brake hoses, that sort of thing. It looks really smart. Now I'm reluctant to take it out on salty roads... ::)

There's a product that S100 makes(orange spray can)that puts a protective coating on the parts which does help;it can be washed-off in late Spring.

Yes, that's meant to be the top dog. I have a ton of ACF50 to get through first. I do use it on the bikes, but it gets quite grubby after a couple of rides, on the surfaces treated. Protects them though.

We ride in the early morning here so we don't get as warm while wearing our gear. Many riders ride in tank tops, flip flops and shorts, no helmet. Road rash magnets is what I call them.

My musings on the Honda CB350 Four. From "Lemon" to "Desirable". Thirty-four odd years ago when I bought my CB350 Four, one of the guys behind the spare parts counter at Peter Stevens (Melbourne, Australia) derided my purchase with "They're a lemon" and "It's all revs and no go". Of course, he was right, because the same year CB350 twin was lighter, faster, and a helluva lot cheaper. But something strange happened over the years. The young men that lusted after that extra 8 kmh got older, and some of them even matured. Now they look at the bike and actually see it for what it is. Firstly, it's pretty. I get complimented on its looks all the time. Secondly, it's a 350cc 4 cylinder motor, which is a great talking point. Thirdly, it's a sweet ride. Stay in the 50, 60 and 80 kmh zones, and it's a lot of fun. Of course, some lemons stay lemons, but not this bike!

Nice job on it. And yes our old mindsets of matured nature do change in time.
Back in 74, when I had my 74 CB450 K7, I swapped bikes with my friend while we were out riding one summer evening, he had his extended fork 350Four with a Hooker 4into2 header that sounded so 😎, it was definitely slower than my dad's 350twin and way slower than my 450 but it was way cooler sounding and smoother being a 4 cylinder.
It got my brain thinking about selling the 450 to get a 750Four. I had the need for speed. The next spring I put my 450 up for consignment at the Honda shop and it sold in 2 weeks and I bought a new 75 750K5. I began to love the sound of the 750 pipes over the sound of the 450.

Thanks for sharing your rides with us, Greg.  Beautiful country!

I had to google Swan Falls and noticed your first picture above looks to be taken from about the same spot as the photo on the Idaho Park Swan Falls website.  If so, the water level looks to be a lot lower these days.

https://visitidaho.org/things-to-do/hiking-backpacking/swan-falls-dam-park/

As for the tree, that MauiK3 already mentioned... what's the story on the sneakers there?
I can't be the only one wondering about that!
