I am prepared to donate a moderately used tool bag for toting the relay items. This came with a cordless drill set that has already passed it's useful life. It is fairly water resistant (not waterproof) but the banner and baton are both vinyl and the log/composition book will be packed in a ziploc. You can see from the dimensions that it measures about 8" wide, 14" long and 9" tall and holds two one-gallon jugs nicely. There is a connector on each end of the bag for a shoulder strap so it could be slung across a riders back if tie-down is not an option. I should be able to dig up a padded shoulder strap to toss in with it along with a couple of bungee cords. It is pretty stout and I would be willing to bet that it would withstand more than a couple of "Get-Offs" at highway speed, praying that any "Get-offs" involve THE BAG ONLY. Wheels down!

I haved used this bag to tote gear for hunting alligators on more than one occassion, so a good CSI might find traces of lizard blood...

A good idea.

I just wonder how far it would make it before someone didn't want what they may consider excess baggage. From some of the posts we've had that could potentially be the case if they preferred what they had to be a better conveyance for them and not enough room for more stuff?? Just saying, it's a possibility. Be sure to include your address and contact info in it in case.

I'll include the return info just in case. I have included the bag since it is expendable and understand that there's a good chance I may not get it back, so if it gets purged along the way I won't lose any sleep over it.

This reply really brought me to pause... since I was under the impression that this relay was about the ride and getting out to meet other members. I started thinking "When did this become about the baton?" Looking back at the actual size photo I realize that the perspective may be a bit off, so for the sake of clarity I have taken some additional photos to help convey "Actual size". Please bear in mind that the CB750cc piston shown in the picture is for REFERENCE ONLY and will not be included and is shown here for comparison purposes only. The composition books (shown) on the other hand WILL BE INCLUDED. The banner should be here any day so I will update here when it arrives.

When I was around 8 I had a 16in tall mecha-godzilla. That would be cool. But any bigger than that little guy would be a burden. And its easy to play with perspective and make him appear 50 ft tall.

I hope you're right!! Looks purty small to me as far as popping pictures of landmarks.

its pretty simple. depending on how close you hold the toy to the camera, the larger he appears. so you can either make it look like hes about to be crushed by a giant 750 or about to stomp a tiny 550. .... ehhhh
