Oh heck, gosh darn, and blast! I've tried to stay out of this but ....

And now, from our Department of Corrections, here is

--------------------------------------
An Owed Two The Spel Chequer

I have a spelling chequer.
It came with my PC.
It plane lee marks four my revue
Miss steaks aye can knot sea.

Eye ran this poem threw it,
your sure reel glad two no.
Its vary polished in it's weigh,
My checker tolled me sew.

A checker is a bless sing,
It freeze yew lodes of thyme.
It helps me right awl stiles two reed,
And aides me when aye rime.

Each frays come posed up on my screen
Eye trussed to bee a joule
The checker poured o'er every word
To cheque sum spelling rule.

Be fore a veiling checkers
Hour spelling mite decline,
And if were lacks or have it laps,
We wood be maid to wine.

Butt now bee cause my spelling
Is checked with such grate flare,
Their are know faults with in my cite
Of none eye am a ware.

Now spelling does knot phase me,
It does knot bring a tier.
My pay purrs awl due glad den
With wrapped words fare as hear.

To rite with care is quite a feet
Of witch won should be proud.
And wee mussed dew the best wee can
Sew flaws are knot aloud.

Sew ewe can sea why aye dew prays
Such soft ware for pea seas,
And why I brake in two averse
By righting verse to pleas.

--------------------------------------

That poem is genius!  Love it.   :D

It's priceless but I can't claim credit for it. :(.  Found it on the net years ago.

It should be compulsory reading for every english teacher and be nailed on every classroom wall ... AND (deep breath) ...
made, by Intergalactical Law, to be the first screen to appear on startup of any word processor .... AND furthermore ... (gasp gasp) rant rave blahh .... yak .. yak yak, but you get the picture.  ;D

I am sure its just me but I get tired of seeing people miss spell brake.  Really?  Its not a break!!!!  :o
I think everybody just needs to take a brake. :P
Brakes, breaks, well that's bad enough but then you guys go on about "tires"! WTF is a tire? Surely you don't mean tyres?
Let those without sin cast the first stone.... LOL ;)

Isn't the proper vintage term for t*res, "meats"?  I hear old-timers calling them that.

A "Break Pad" is something you do some old school breakdancing on. I used to use a sheet of cardboard back in the eighties. Works great for backspins!

another funny mistake I saw once- "engine is ceased"
also- "freezon" instead of freon
and- "what?, I'm must be goin death!"

Not too long ago, I noticed that the "of" in "a couple of" got lost somewhere along the way.  Now it's "a couple questions" or "a couple things" or whatever.

It irritates me when someone can't be bothered to use the punctuation keys when typing a post on a message board. ::) ;)

How about using capital letters?  Not every message typed is a text message. I'd love to see proper usage of your & you're. (I know what's coming!)  :D

Acrossed...really acrossed what does that mean.  It is not a word.  I hear people in the south use that all the time when they really should be saying across.  I believe I find this more annoying than break.  ::)
