LOL. What's worse, Ron, is I actually have video not just pictures.  ;D it will be done very, very soon. I'm going to try and catch up with him and weigh the final product compared to stock hub before we go for fitment tests.

The nice thing is, once everything is dialed in, making more should be much quicker than the prototype. As well as other models I suspect. Although, I wonder if a 550 rear would interchange with an F model 750 rear hub? Or the Ks?

Oh, and by the way, Devin says he thinks the rear hub will be about 10# so it's definitely heavier than stock.

That's certainly what I notice racing enduro. Rear brake not only keeps the bike in a straight line under heavy load but I think the 5% braking it offers seems to steady the load in to the front brake allowing for a touch more traction in the front too.

So the word is 2 pounds heavier than stock fully assembled. But for the improvements, I'll suffer.

No doubt a nice piece for a disc conversion, but for that kind of coin why not just use a flat track hub? The one I am going to use on my race bike weighs as much as just the cush drive from the 750 rear wheel.

Where's the fun in that?  ??? Besides, its not always about the least expensive way, sometimes its about helping someone stimulate their business and pursue their dream. Had Devin not initiated the whole GSXR conversion and custom triples, many people and businesses might not have sprung up. Im not saying he set the trend, but his 550 certainly stimulated the ever-loving dog paws for these items.

Brembo P32 or P34 caliper.  Check Devin's site for the rotor options.

Hurry up and lace it up!

Devin (or one of his shop employees ((er-hmm)) vapor honed mine. Nice finish, but not going to stay that way. Produced a nice satin finish on the billet, but not nearly as lovely as Nils results.

Oh, by the way, you should hear the nasty names Devin was calling me yesterday! I merely suggested that in order to reduce weight he considered offering these hubs in magnesium. Thought I had inadvertently reached a Sailor's head from the language :o :-[

I can only imagine how a block of magnesium that size as a blank would increase the cost but, yes, it would be light.

Swapped the caliper, too.

The machining is exquisite!

2 lbs heavier than a stock drum hub, but lighter than a CB750F disc hub (with disc and caliper, because the old hefty rotor, caliper and bracket).
