And yes, I do run shocks on my bike. Bottom line, if you can't get the best front half from an SOHC, your back half will suffer, we just don't have enough horsepower up top. Its the low end torque that I depend on.

And my best 1.68 on first pass on lower chassis!  High 1.7s now to 1.85, should be like Frank's. 754, yes it does, just a little  squat helps with launch and keeping front end down. Haha.Lol.  Where have I heard that? I'm trying  ;D, Bill

Are you running the forks real stiff..... Front End if it barely moves, means little weight transfer.
Front End coming up too high often means you are releasing. Clutch too soon.

Frank(754), find below one of my time slips. Its a 1.45 , 60' time. I couldn't find the slip with the 1.42 in my stash but will look again later. Anyway, you get the idea of what the bike is capable of from one end of the track to the next.

Its now a little over a week away. Who is planning on making it down??

I am still hoping to make it, even though I won't have a decent bike ready.

Where is everyone staying?? Camping at the track? Motel?

The weather should be cool, so you won't sweat, hence you won't need a shower.  8)

Welp, one truck in the shop getting a range sensor replaced, the other decided to puke all its coolant from somewhere behind the motor.. if neither is ready in time I might not have a ride  :-\

Do what you can to get there, but don't make it hard on yourself. You've made all the races thus far to show your commitment, so missing one under those circumstances won't be a reflection on you. Its too bad you can't link up with someone to transport you and the bike.

Well I am gonna price a shipper and a round trip ticket. I have some points on Southwest.. trying to find the cause of the leak on the small truck. And hoping the range sensor fixes the big truck so I can drive it..

This is the best race of the year, really dont want to miss this one

Once you do the math on the shipping. Try looking at the price on a rental truck or mini van. Take the rear seats out of the van and roll the bike in. We've all done this a time of two.

Here's an idea... fly in a couple days early and jump in on one of Bill's many unfinished bikes. Finish putting it together a race that one!  ;D

Of course, you wreck it you bought it!  :o

Even if you just fly in and participate as a spectator, the finals are quite a spectacle to see... and a lot cheaper just to watch.  8)

Good luck with the vehicle repairs, I know racing is more fun!

Good luck with the repairs, hopefully its an easy fix.

If you want to fly into Indy and ride down with me, I can take my trailer and throw my auto on for you to ride.

Bike looks good TurboD. Are you bringing that one and the blue bike??
