Congrats on the record.  I was involved with this AA/SS record holding CBX back in the 80's.  Back then the IDBA Super Stock classes were required to have all stock parts in the motor and were torn down to prove it to get the record.  I guess the class must have evolved by the time IDBA went belly up!

I was told they decided to change the criteria for simplicity. External parts that can be verified easily mainly as a convenience to the two stroke guys to avert tear downs.

Mainly looked at the engine to be sure I didn't have an aftermarket big block or a lockup clutch.

Leino,

Its pro tree handicap racing based off of national records. I'm still unclear on the specifics to be quite honest. They were supposed to mail me a complete set of rules and race procedures but it didn't come with my national record certificate.

Here's the official certificate. Hoping to get another one of these next year for re-setting my own record.  I think the old bike left some ET on the table this time.

OK, OK, OK already! Me and my Bro, Mikey, are "contemplating" 2 bikes for 2016. Problem he and I got is making enough HP to overcome the 75-100 pound weight advantage you guys have over both of us for ET and MPH.  ;D  We may have to go on liquid diets (like Jerry)!  ;)  We're having trouble finding low cal Gin and Beer!  :(

So which class would this effort be?  ???  ???  ???

Can't be Street E.T., because you don't have to be fastest nor quickest to win that category....

Isn't the weight issue why guys went to 900 Kaws back in the day?!

Low cal beer?! I'd quit drinking before that! Now as far as the gin issue, go with diet tonic water! How about cutting out those big ass steaks! I couldn't hang with you 2 very long or I'd balloon up to 168 or so in no time ;-)

I gave SE Racer Baxter a new copy of the 2000 IDBA SE rules at spring Valdosta 2015, he said he had a copy too. Sealed motors were a tool that Tony Lee used to keep IDBA SE racers on a fair level to race = you did have to tear down when you won the event or set your new record [ bring boxes and wrenches in those dayz ]  Brad Mattie on a KZ from Slidell Louisiana was the final SE class winner at the MEMPHIS FINALS IDBA 2000, I know this as a fact as I was the master of ceremonies and handed him his plaque.

Frank, I'd be interested to know what class and details of his record also. Maybe next season we'll see others going after SOHC records in super eliminator. I think that's one of Bill Benton's goals. I kind of wish Larry Hayes would bring his bike over into this class where he stands a good chance of actually winning rounds instead of pro open where the quickest bike is well into the 6's. I'm sure his bike would fit into one class or another.

Starting off by giving a BIG shout-out to my friend FrankenJohn Loney for his record setting performance at the ManCup World Finals! Atta boy, Luther! ( Ghost and Mr. Chicken reference)
I have managed to get my hands (Thanks to Bill Baxter) on a complete copy of the IDBA 2000 rulebook. This has the rules by which all the classes in Super Eliminator are run by. It is the whole rulebook, Top Fuel on down.
I am offering it to anyone who desires it and will be sending it on to our illustrious leader, Sam Green as soon as I can get a valid e-mail from him. Who knows, he may just post it and pin it here somewhere for all the world to see.
It is a VERRY large file 21.3Megs.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all and, Peace out.
