Topic: Man Cup- Rockingham event. Bonus money

Any of the drag racing crew planning to attend/participate at this event?? Only 3 of us showed up for the last race.

Just wondering, have you guys lost interest in this type racing?? That pot of bonus money is still sitting out there for the winner of the street ET event on an SOHC. We're into the 3rd year now. I think it can still be done. Come on out guys.

Busy, busy, busy, but planning on Valdosta. Kenny will have his new beast at Valdosta as well as a booth in the midway and he is sponsoring the SE class, I think. Todd will have his DOHC beast out too. Mike and I already have tickets and reservations.

Have not lost interest in the least. The bike that's gonna take the bonus money is under construction and coming along!

No Rockingham for me this year, maybe next. I'm thinking about doing some touring to the events next year though. Perhaps pulling a trailer? My calendar has been cleared for Valdosta.

It'll be nice to see everyone at the world finals. I'll try to hang out with you guys a bit more at this event. It seems I've always got a lot going on and only speak to you guys in passing.

I'm hoping to have the project F model ready by the so my older brother can ride it in street ET. I might enter it in super eliminator myself- CB/SSN😁. Still lots to do on this one but a lot more behind me so I'm okay at this point.

The top case is getting bored this week. Transmission getting undercut too. Won't be long and I'll start building an engine for this thing. In between I'll tear the roller back apart to paint or powdercoat the frame. Debuts in November I hope. 😎

Unfortunately not me. 
Irma has put us behind at work, plus I've got truckloads of tree limbs to get cleared from the yard. Best of luck to all that will be there, have a safe race, and make a good showing for the SOHC/4's.

 Not 100% certain I'll be racing my SOHC but I will enter a bike in street ET one way or another. I wasn't able to complete all my tasks to get it ready before we left town and I may not have enough time to finish, but I'll push as hard as I can to get it done.
Bill might have to carry the single stick banner on his own.

So how did you do?

It seems I solved the problem I had at Galot. The bike ran well for a 20 plus year old relic that needs attention. First time run it ran a 10.50@122mph. First round eliminations I dialed a 10.50 but redlighted. It ran a 10.498@122.9mph. Came back after the trophy round with the same dial in. I treed my opponent, he apparently spun off the line chasing me so I was able to roll off the throttle for the win, tripping the clocks for a 10.568 ET @ 111.42 mph. 3rd round I drew a slower opponent by over two seconds. Unfortunately I screwed up and rolled a tad too far into the beams. Light came down for me to give chase but I pulled the trigger to soon and red-lighted. I ran a 10.47 @ 123.41 mph on the loosing pass ending my day. Hoping for a better outcome on Sunday. Billy teched in to get show up points but didn't race his bike.
