Bars that clear lowered forks?
« on: January 05, 2021, 10:58:45 AM »
Any body know of an aftermarket handlebar that will clear lowered fork tubes?
I want to try lowering the the front end, to see how the bike handles, before I make the decision to cut the fork tubes. It would be nice to be able to continue to use the stock bar clamps with out going to clip-ons.

77 and 78  750 trees allow you to slide up as high as you want.. you then have to side tank back slightly  or mod the stops..

How about some simple bolt on risers for your existing bars?

I've used this type long term for comfort, they work great.

 Handlebar set backs work too.

Why go through all the trouble of cutting the forks? They can easily be lowered without cutting anything:

I did this to mine without cutting the springs. Adds a bit of preload when reinstalling the fork cap, but I had no issues installing the fork cap, nor removing and replacing the spacer to make the forks even shorter on my dragbike. Easily returned to stock length.

If you are handy with a welder make a set.5 in section on straight bar. bring up the support bars in the center. if you're not running a stock dash. if you are look into narrow window bars.
