...but if you throw away bike parts your future self will curse you?

In my defense of throwing away those "broken" CB750 engines...how was I to know that I would know more than I thought I knew?

It's not exactly a picture of the shop but something we made in the shop. We had replaced the front brake rotors on the 84' Interceptor 1000 and we decided to make them into clocks. We bought some USA made movements and got the art work from a friend. After painting the details on the rotor we laminated the art and mounted it on a plywood disc with the movement. The original rotor mounting bolts worked perfect to hold it all together.
We have a few other rotors and more bloody chick art work. The girl that does the art does tattoos at Harley dealership functions and sells her art work there. So we'll see how much the Harley crowd will pay for one.

Look fantastic!
I'm amazed that some can create art just like that. Look easy when watching them doing it.

Shop is filling up for winter. 10 inside and two next door. I got a lot of ride time this summer, time to get back to work.

1. Varadero will get plugs, air filter, sprockets and and a new chain. Do it first and move it out.
2. I have a nice, clean cb750K6, buried in the back. “Lash” built a very fresh 1976 replacement motor for it, after I borrowed the 1974 motor for the Rickman (it’s a ‘74 too). Time to get it on the road. My son has been suggesting he will need something when my grandson starts riding the K4. Can’t wait!
3. Need to get back on the Sandcast and get it completed.
4. The Rickman CR750 has been ignored for a while too!

Gurp……. It does put a smile on my face, every time. Since we’ve had this farm property, the deal with my kids has been they only ride out from here. No riiding in the GTA (greater Toronto area). My wife rides too!

Agree both both of you! I took my old bush hog and carved a few miles of “trail” for my grandson. He’s just getting started, but the hook is well set!

Now that the KL 250 is almost done I have to get the tractor out and carve out some trails on the 3 acres down behind the shop for the boy to ride on.

We got two sets of them from a buddy that races. He said they were experimental rotors that didn't work out. Not sure which bike he was running them on but they made nice clocks.

Here's where the magic happens.

I've got plans for a couple improvements over the winter- moving some of the non-bike related stuff out to the barn, figuring out some kind of floor better than dirt, etc.  But still, it works well enough for 7 bikes, plus room to move around.

As a friend always tells me concrete is cheaper than you think. Attach all of your cabinets and shelving units to the walls 6" off the floor this winter. Then come spring roll the bikes out and pour the concrete in. 8)

Is that a KZ 1300 I see back there? ;D

It sure is.  I picked that up about 10 years ago, and had it working to varying degrees ever since.  I actually pushed it to the back burner the last couple years because I got fed up with it, but I hesitate to let it go because if I do I will NEVER be able to find another one.

Once I get my 750 figured out the 1300 is next up.  Maybe I learned something new in the meantime.

You are right about not selling the KZ 1300, they are rare. If you need help with it check out kzrider.com

I'm hoping that the barn on the new property is in usable shape so I alleviate some clutter from the shop in the new space. I doubt ill be this neat though. There is always hope though!
