Well it was a beautiful day here today, around 80 deg F, sunny and magnificent, but I was so worn out from all of the cleanup work prior to the BBQ I hosted for Christmas Eve, and then lunch for Christmas Day, I've done nothing today except sitting in my comfy chair, drinking, and eating leftovers. Tomorrow will be a toss up between riding, and wrenching on my K2 "Bitsa". I think wrenching will win.........

Thanks mate, it really is a lovely bike, but it is what it is, and the money came in handy. It paid for Delkevic pipe and Lesters for my "Bitsa" K2, the Yamaha XS650S I bought a couple of weeks ago, and it'll cover some shortfalls in some more projects.

I was really keen to get a ride in before the year was out, but my last ride for 2019 was almost my last ride, period, when something let go in the gearbox of my K2 Bitsa and my back wheel locked up @ 40 MPH. Had it happened a minute earlier when I was doing 70 MPH on a busy freeway, it might have been really bad.

No ruptured cases, no oil running out, the engine still runs, but there's a rattle on the left hand side that wasn't there before, might be a gear or a selector, or both, bouncing around. Luckily I have lots of parts to do yet another rebuild........ Bugger.

Not much luck with the 750's of late Terry.
Time to get the KZ going.
On a side note. we have the smoke from your fires blanketing the sun. Wish all my Aussie friends well(apart from the cricket)

Bad luck Terry but I'm sure you will come out the other side mate.
I've got family and friends potentially affected by the fires so fingers crossed as well Scunny (and our only hope in the cricket is for the next test to be cancelled !).

Fark! Thanks for posting that Scott, I don't remember if I'd seen that thread before, but I remarked to my son Tim, that it felt like it was jammed between a couple of gears when I was trying to find a neutral so we could push it back to the pub. Looks like I'll be cracking those cases.

Thanks Scunny, the fires are enormous mate, maybe the worst I've seen since Black Saturday 10 years ago, but luckily so far, no where near as many souls lost. I was watching the cricket yesterday and saw that the previous match was called off because of poor visibility due to smoke, very sad.

Thanks mate, and best of luck to your family and friends. My cousin's old house (he sold it years ago) was destroyed over the weekend, and his new place was narrowly missed on Monday. He only retired last year and after marriage breakdowns, money lost to "A woman Scorned" who screwed him financially when he decided that his "friends with benefits" relationship wasn't working etc, he finally bought a small 5 acre property with a house and a big shed for his cars and bikes in 2019, only to almost lose everything on Monday. My dreams of a "Tree Change" have suddenly taken a U turn, and I think I'll stay here in the city. Having said that, we had a big fire in my suburb on Monday, which was a bit scary.

Scunny, that is a fix a flat, Agip brand. Agip is a gas station company in Italy. It came with the bike when I bought it in December (2019).

There are people here that lives more south were possible to enjoy riding the bike now?

Not fair, I have to wait for spring and all sand spread on the roads fighting ice is removed. Hopefully last week of March.

Here my last ride 2019, Oct 27.
Bike has since then got both tires replaced, oil & filter change and carbs hopefully correctly jetted. Filter o-ring will hopefully doing it's job to keep oil inside.
