Heard a pretty loud ticking sound coming from the valve train on my way home from a bike rally yesterday. I over revved it pretty good the night before playing with the harley guys
When I got home I began my inspection to find that the tappet on my #2 intake valve was missing it's lock nut and had a good 1/4" gap.
I believe this is what was causing the "ticking". But the sh!tty part is, I have to pull the motor now to find that nut and check for any damage it may have caused
Question is: Should I be using loc-tite on these or what? I tighten them pretty good (I thought). Anyone else had this experience?
