Thanks guys, I've got another appointment to see a doctor next Monday but I've got to get Jonathan to take me to the hospital in Manchester for that one.
The one after that is on 13th Oct when the rehab brain lady will come to see me. In the meantime I have homework to do.
It's sort of like a quiz book but it looks quite difficult after having a quick look through it, I'll give it a go tomorrow.

Sam, how's the vision now vs before? Reason I ask is that my daughter had 3 successive concussions in a short spell. They fitted her with prism glasses which helped her visual and mental focus. Can't properly explain but it does somewhat of a visual offset between the 2 eyes that fits what the brain is TRYING to see.

Well I've seen the Neurological teams Occupational Therapist, the teams Physiotherapist, the big man himself, the Surgeon and over the past few weeks, I've been seeing the teams Psychotherapist.
She really has put me through it with all kinds of test to evaluate if I am brain damaged or just not very intelligent.
Some of the questions I had to answer(let's call them tests) I found very difficult which led me to ask her a Question, how do you differentiate between someone who is brain damaged and a person who is just not that bright. She told me that they would be able to tell that from the answers I give. It beats me how they can tell from that but she assured me they could.
We spent three enjoyable hours together and I could tell I was doing OK from the look on her face, mostly smiles when I got a difficult one correct.
I asked her how I had done on our first meeting and she said I had done quite well and after the three hour session, I asked her again.
She seemed to think I'd done OK but said the results would have to be analysed by her superior. When I asked her why, she replied, You don't think that I could answer questions that hard, Do you ? hahahahaha. Seems she just asks the questions, then they take the answers I give back to the hospital to be analysed.
It seems things are coming together at last, I'm walking quicker, not wobbling as much and the memory is getting just that little bit better.
I'm eating Ok and have put a few pounds back on but I'm still 14 pounds under what I was. I'm also sleeping better and I go to sleep a lot quicker than I did, thanks to a couple of cups of hot Horlicks before I go to bed.
Next time she comes (2 weeks time) we are going to talk about getting my driving licence back. The authorities have only just taken it off me (not that I've been driving, my Son has my car) and I have a letter from them that says I can't drive for six months. In a few weeks time, it will be six months since the accident so it's fingers crossed that the hospital will put me through their own driving test(on private ground) real soon, wish me luck my friends. Sam.

Sam, be patient. It takes time as it's a slow process. Went through something similar with my kid recently due to her 'concussions'. Keep reading to stimulate the old brain and get your eye focus back to normal. They even gave her 'prism glasses' to offset the ocular focus to coincide with what the brain was trying to do. Seems any head bonk that is reported must be called a 'concussion' these days. Glad her's wasn't as horrific as your's. Funny thing, I've had 2 head-ons in the recent past on my bikes and they never tested. Must've thought I am hopeless  :)

Now, realistically speaking, they can NOT make a new man outta an old man  ;) ;D just make the old man better. Just look at me LOL. Hang in there brother. Hope to see you soon.
