i did not judge you.  and post as you please...by all means.   ;D
dont search if you dont want to. but its a shame you discount posts because of their age, and that they contained links to 'older' information, especially on a board containing knowledge/opinions you seek. regardless of the topic..you posted, askking for thoughts and opinions.  you got what you asked for, and you shoved it back.

Clearly a joke, and not one targeted at you.

Where did I discount a post? All I'm sayin is I didn't go back and do a comprehensive topic-by-topic analysis of the entire sohc4 forum before I posted this. I simply read a letter and thought I'd share it's contents in here. That post was obviously a sarcastic one judging by the "just sayin" at the end, not a reference as you put it. I never said he didn't have a right to post his opinion, just as I have a right to reply to it. It's just a motorcycle forum, man. I know there are tons of micros in Wash. I think you need to visit one and toss a few back!  :P

Well this conversation took a fun little twist, didn't it?

I toss the peace fingers up (or down) at all riders, regardless of machine (unless it's a scooter, that's just silly). Most everybody waves back around here, unless at high speed, turning, shifting, etc. and even then I usually get a head nod back.

When I had a Jeep Wrangler, we all waved to each other.  There was absolutely no discrimination.  Jeep drivers are cooler than motorcyclists.  Oh, but those damn Hummers....

Riders around here are judgemental. When I ride my GSXR, all the sport bike riders give me the two finger wave, but the HD peeps stare straight ahead and never ever acknowledge me even if I wave first. But.... if I ride one of my old Hondas, the sport bikers kinda wave, not sure why I waved first so I get a half hearted WTF was that wave, but the HD guys are more than happy to give me the one finger pointed to the ground kinda wave.

Both situations makes me wonder why I wave at all. Some of the HD riders I see that didn't wave at the GSXR but wave at the old Honda make me furious!

You wave at the rider IMO not the bike.

Yup.  And the rider must be a commie bastard if he's riding a GSXR.  Can't argue with that kinda logic. :)

I waved back at this harley dude a couple times, then last Friday I bump into him at a yard sale, there was a guitar case. We both had stopped to check it out. He noticed I am missing a side cover on my 76F and says he used to own one, got it new. Today I am donating blood here comes the guy with a business card and price on a side cover. He was at a shop and asked if anything was available. He then saw my bike at the guitar shop, went in and asked for me, I had left my guitar there and walked to the red cross. He came over there just to hand me the card and price. Lady at the red cross says sometimes those people who aren't all there have a big heart.??? Nice of him to do that but wierd too.

I have a feeling some of the HD guys not waiving at the GSXR might be a bit of stigmatism of all the squids on crotch rockets.  An old honda on the other hand "TYPICALY" are owned by guys who know what their doing or at least care about their bike and other riders.  Just my two cents.  I would do a low waive at a HD any old bike or chopper but the usually the guys around here on the crotch rockets are to busy zipping past me at double the speed limits and cutting people off.  Now before the hate mail starts pouring in I know there are exceptions (like my boss...who's also 40)  But theirs also a lot of dumb 16somthing year old riders (and older ones too) out there on them doing stupid things too....  Like another guy I worked with who the first week he had his bike decided to do 50 popping a wheelie down a side street cover by gravel... in the rain.  We all took bets on him.  He wiped out and messed himself and his bike up about 2 months later go figure.
