TP is not an issue at our place Scottly.
The Lovely Evelyn was working at a mates pub cleaning the accommodation. His pub got closed down last week.
There's enough TP in his store room till my ass no longer requires it. ;D
TP's a little like bitcoin at the moment. It was worth sweet FA last month and now it's worth an arm and leg.
Next month I suspect it will be back FA again.
The older I get the faster I was.

Yeah, don't invest your life savings in TP Brian, it's pretty much freely available here in Melbourne again, hand sanitizer is still at a premium, and of course folks are selling face masks on Ebay for ridiculous money, not that you need one unless you're living in a high density area. I think you'll be safe, and I suppose you can wrap your face in TP whenever you go out, anyway? ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I read a somewhat plausible explanation for the continuing toilet paper shortage. There are basically two classes of toilet paper: the commercial grade which is used in businesses and industry, and consumer grade, such as the Charmin, Angel Soft, ect we use at home. Since we are mostly all staying home instead of taking a dump at work or public restrooms, the demand for consumer grade TP has increased by something like 40%, while the demand for the commercial grade has decreased. It turns out my sister's neighbor's business was supplying commercial grade products to farms, like TP for the porta-potties in the fields. BTW, my mom says the commercial "John Wayne" TP beats the hell out of the Sears Roebuck catalog pages they had to use back in the day. ;D

I am finally getting projects done.  I work in healthcare so I still go to work and spend all day in a mask and gloves.  I have alot more time for the garden (potatos are going in today after work)  my wife however is now stuck home all day remote working.  I guess the biggest change is that now my stockpiling of emergancy supplies dosnt seem as weird to my wife now (lucky we haven't had to break into the freeze dryed food or MREs yet)

The only thing thats changed here is the wifes working from home and i'm not sure if I can go for a ride for no other reason than for pleasure'.

On a different note. I read in todays paper . Some bozo purchased 5400 rolls of toot paper  with the idea of  selling it on the internet.
After the gov't knocked that on the head hes been doing the rounds at the shopping centres trying to offload it. Karma.

I dress differently now. Here I am on my way to Walmart.
The last time I went to Walmart, I wore a mask and safety glasses. I felt a bit silly, until I got inside and saw I wasn't the only one. ;)
My next door neighbors, a pleasant young couple, just moved out. He is a free-lance farrier (fits horse shoes), and his business has dwindled to almost nothing when this is normally his busiest time of the year.
My nephew just got laid off, but as he works is the oil industry, it's more due to the drop in the price of oil than Corona. His wife, however, worked in a very popular restaurant, so she's out of work too.

I've just been watching the UK news, there are 50,000 confirmed cases in Britain with a 10% mortality rate. Scary.

We are close to a few Corona Virus free counties, we've just had one documented case here in west central Illinois although several folks posted on FB they believe they have had it at home.  My wife is still going to physical therapy for her new knee, our groceries are oredered online and picked up at the curb. I've avoided buying an on sale spot welder and a marked down tool box that I wanted just to stay out of the stores.  I did get to do more work on my Firebird project but haven't pulled the trigger on wheels or the rear suspension yet.

My mother in law passed away early this morning. She was 91, and in a senior residence on lockdown, (although no covid) so we haven't been able to see her for just over three weeks. She was taken by ambulance to a hospital and it was over in a couple hours. It's a covid center and her Doc suggested staying away plus there wouldn't have been time to get to her anyway.

I know two people that contracted the "Big C" and have since recovered, and know at least two other people that I believe were victims of the coronavirus that sheltered in place at home that also recovered with mild to moderate flu-like symptoms but were never tested.

One of those that did test positive and recovered was in critical condition and spent some time on a ventilator before finally improving.

Those that are mildly affected are quite fortunate. The severely afflicted are the ones I am most concerned about. Stay safe and do your best to avoid "the plague". We have a decontamination lab set up in the garage to process everything we bring in from a public source. I am fortunate enough to perform 95% of my work duties from home, although I did have to go in to the shop today I "doubled up" and picked up scripts for me and the wife while I was out.

yeah deb!i tried a real raw spud once Terry,i put the spud in a large mug, poured hot water on it,stirred and waited a minute, stirred again and it was still a spud not mashed, that was the worst cooking experience of my life!
I could really use as many new recipes and ideas as possible.

Sean....easy recipe and good:

Buy a freshly cooked rotisserie chicken at the grocery store if you dare enter!
Done.
Serve with a can of corn and/or beans.  Easy, cheap and very good. Leftovers are great for lunch too.
Fixed that for you Stev-o. ;)
Sean, for a quick lunch, I fork-shred some of the breast meat, place it on a yellow corn tortilla with some shredded cheddar cheese over the chicken, and nuke it for 45 seconds or so. Add a bit of chunky salsa, fold, and eat. ;D
that's more like it Scottly!
I also have a recipe for a delectable chile relleno dish, as well as a mashed potato dish that Dave might enjoy. ;D
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!
