Relay Map reflects updated (proposed) dates:

http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=101662.0

Turns out some of the dates were out of sequence, and I fixed the fact that ALL of the dates fell on WEDNESDAY...

All of the dates on the map now fall on Saturday, which meant backing up the dates by four days. Look it over and let me know what you think!

GZ 2.0 is on the move! His bags are packed, next stop Oakland, CA, where he will hook up with lead-off rider geminimotors!

Here's a preflight photo-op, ready to go:

and here GZ 2.0 shares a tender moment with his bro before heading out:

Hey Team New England!

Lefty is in Michigan!  Next stop is Ontario. Where would be a good place for y'all to pick him up after that?  We don't have a New Brunswick rider this year, so the most probable handoff points would be Niagara or something closer to Montreal.  Could be ready for pick-up as early as the week of 8/20!
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

Bump.

Larecords has volunteered to be Eastern Canada's anchor rider (Thanks Man!!). He just needs a person, place, date & time for the hand off.  We're hoping that GZ will make an appearance (and maybe a few laps?) at Mosports Vintage Races on the 18th, so the hand off would be after that.

I know that Andy, myself and a few other New England guys are heading out to Newburgh, NY for the Cannonball Run starting at Motorcyclepedia. We'll be heading out that way on Thursday Sept. 6th through the 8th. By the "schedule" mapped out in one of the planning threads, our schedule seems to put Team New England a bit behind in terms of timing, but I figured I'd throw an option out there...

If we could somehow catch GZ when we leave Boston, we could transfer the beast off to someone down there.

Ottawa to Newburgh is about 600 miles. I don't know how much riding Laracords is wanting to do, or what his timing might be. Any upstate New Yorkers planning to attend that might meet him along the way?

I will not be around for the last 2 weeks of August so cant commit to anything at this point. Sorry! Hopefully someone else is available.

September is more doable at this point.

I was more or less thinking of a swap in the Boston area...

This is my first rodeo, so I don't know how this all works, but I assumed we could pick up GZ in Boston and ride down to Newburgh to hand off to another member ??? . That is, of course, pending on other members being there. I have posted a similar message in Canada and Mid-Atlantic hoping to create discussion.

Discussion is good!  Oh, and Ottawa to Newburgh is more like 400 miles. that's also about the same distance between Ottawa and Boston.

Just the same, I asked Larecords what his timeline and desired distance might be. Finding a rider between will help with distance and timing. If nothing else,  someone to ride along if Larecords wants to ride the whole thing.

Just to update here, please correct me if I am wrong...

GZ is making his way to Boston for the run to Newburgh, NY. Supposedly he is extremely excited for the Cannonball run! I assume as September gets closer the schedule will get more "concrete".

Hey Crush,

Yes, Larry is planning to bring Lefty to Boston. Details to be worked out, but it would be great if Larry had a Boston contact to work with.

Bruce, I think because I spoke up initially that it's only right for me to be that contact now. PM me for any information you may need.

No worries Alex.  It's really Larry (aka Larecords) that you need to communicate with.  I'll help out in any way I can, but it's Larry and crew who will be doing the riding.

If there are any riders wanting to participate in this run that are located between Ottawa and Boston please contact me... I am pretty much available from now until whenever and wish to have as many  involved with this as possible ....as of today I have two possible times leaving Ottawa area...this Sat go to Kingston and pick up GZ wait until Thur and leave for Boston thru Montreal to hook up with Boswell. Second option is to pick up GZ on Sun Sept 2 leave Thurs to Montreal and thru Boston ...route I take is up to those who wish to participate ...Bruce has asked for the second option, he is willing to pay for all rain gear I'll need to get thru hurricane season...just joking Bruce... stand up and be tall and lets keep ole  GZ lefty movin'

Anders,

A group of us are heading down to Newburgh, NY for the start of the Cannonball Run on September 6th. We hope to meet with Team Mid-Atlantic for the hand-off.

I would be coming from southern NH

It sounds like Larecords will be leaving Perth heading towards Montreal on the 6th... so i'm guessing the meet-up date is on the 6th or 7th (not sure if he's planning to drive through or stop and rest for the night).

I'm also considering meeting up in Montreal... but I would have to take some days off of work to make that happen.  Meeting up in Boston might make more sense for me.

I am in Germany until the 4th but after this can accomodate anyone/everyone in Boston if needed. Will also be heading to Newburgh NY for the start of the Cannonball Run on the 6-8th Sept.

It George from the NJ shore.  I rode on the last ride, taking the GZ handoff in Philly and riding him for a 3 day all points tour of NJ before handing him off in Brooklyn, NY.  I may be able to participate again this year, schedule permitting.

Does anyone know the overall schedule on where GZ is supposed to head to from our area?  South?  West?

I might be able to meet in Newburgh, NY at the Cannonball Run event and go from there, at least through Sunday.  Possibly longer...

I got a PM from Larry... The dates I posted earlier are not correct.  I believe he's planning on being in Montreal around the 3rd.

I won't be able to make it (I'll just try to join up somewhere stateside)... but I wanted to let others know the dates I posted above were not correct.
