So, are we supposed to hand-off GZ to Team Southeast Central around the 15th?

I guess we need to start moving to get through PA and DE.

I'm in the Philly area, where is everyone that's interested in riding the Mid-Atlantic leg?

I was hoping to tag along, as opposed to navigating.  It's embarrassing, but even though I've been riding 19 years I really don't know many good back road routes.

You're in a good position to help connect the dots. I'll reach out to other riders and see if we can work up a plan for the next leg. Been pretty quiet around here...

Excellent! I was pretty sure we would be able to connect the dots down the East coast without too much grief. BobbyR is currently entertaining lefty, who I'm sure is also freely consulting on the "Babe Thread" selections!

I am going to ride him around some and when some one is ready hand him off. There is a piece of land in which NY, NJ, Pa meet. I can run him into NJ quickly and then hand off to someone on the Pa side.

Bobby, getting up to that area  would be  difficult for me at this time.  We need someone to get him closer to the southern part of PA.  Anyone out there?...Larry

He is in my backpack as we speak in Nortern Westchester County NY 35 miles from the Empire State Building. I am planning to take him across the border Saturday into NJ to make it official.  I would suggest South or Southwest before it gets too cold in the Northeast.

I would love to meet you, Bobby, but NJ is bit too far.

Somebody from Phily would be very handy.

If gz comes to Long Island I could plan a nice route to the East end then bring the handoff on the ferry to Ct. Nice roads out here

Ct? Connecticut? We're moving from North to South this time. From New York we're looking to get to NJ, PA, MD, DE, VA, NC, SC, GA, and FL. Picking up OH and WV would be bonus miles, but we have already broken the chain on this relay so local riders and conditions will rule.

Biketoberfest in Daytona from Oct 18th-21st would be the target I would like to reach. Can it be done? I can ride as far as Raleigh, NC for the handoff (1300 miles round trip). Handoff in Raliegh would have to happen on or before the weekend of Oct 13th/14th.

Keep the ideas coming!

P.S. If I ride to Raleigh, I may try for an "Official" Iron Butt!

We need a rider between Mahwah NJ and Toms River to hook up with George, or we need a rider who can meet me at Matamoras Pa and move GZ toward Toms River NJ. Matamoras puts GZ officially in Pa.
If anyone has a plan, chip in.

1-   Anyone willing to get GZ in my general direction on Saturday?  (Toms River, NJ- midway down the Jersey shoreline)  I can offer an overnight stay Saturday night at my place.   Comfy guest room, garage space for the bike.

2-   Assuming I can get GZ on Saturday/Sunday morning, I'm game for a little adventure on Sunday.  I can make a ride through NJ, PA, and possibly into DE and MD.  Anyone in DE or MD interested in getting their hands on GZ on Sunday afternoon?  Eastern Shore of MD perhaps?  Annapolis?

Annapolis?

George

George,  I work Sat and Sun .  I have off Thursday  next week.  I could maybe meet you later this Sunday.  I live in Gap, Pa 17527...Larry

I might be able to pick up GZ from Bobby in Mahwah on Sunday - I'll confirm/check my schedule tomorrow.

I could swing down to Toms River, or maybe meet up with George somewhere in NJ, and then we could head over to Gap to hand-off or meet-up with Larry.

It would be a big triangle ride for me (I'm just outside of Philadelphia)... but doable in one day I think. George and Larry could continue on to MD.... or whatever works in your schedule.

Thoughts?

Sounds doable to me (but of course I don't have to do  all that much)..    I can offer a stopover if anyone needs it...Larry

I need new tires - cord showing - but next week I should be ready and can meet in MD or PA to get that lizzard.
