Well Marcia didn't win DWTS but I give her all the credit in the world for doing as good as she did 8) Here is a recent pic of her on Harry Connick Jr talk show. Even at 60 she is still a hottie in my book. :P :P

You're right, a skilled sheep farmer knows the need to shear the critter seasonally.  Then does so with skill and care.  The benefits of sheep shearing greatly outweigh the risks.

I think the PETA statement is targeted at industrial sheep shearing who sometimes get a little too hasty in their efforts.

Not shearing the sheep is far more destructive to the sheep.

I can't believe those dumb fcuks don't know the difference between wool and sheepskin? Here's what a sheep looks like when it hasn't been shorn! ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

The poor bloody thing "went bush" and by the time they found him he was almost dead, that wool is heavy stuff, especially when it gets wet, and his joints were just about shot. All sheep need to be shorn, it's not cruel to shear them, it's cruel not to! ;D

I'm sure they didn't initially start out like that... but selective breeding for the more wooly ones for sheep farmers would be the way to go. Original sheep would also be roaming free in rocky areas and be able to get rid of wool themselves.

Just like muscly cows for more beef.
