I got this from Jerry today:

If you go be very careful. I got broadsided by a squid Sat. Beat up. Both bones in my left leg snapped at the ankle. Possible shoulder and thumb issues. Stitches in my forehead and shin. 2 plates in my leg. The guy couldn't keep up with his buddy and overshot the curve. Hit me at the floor board right behind the front wheel. His front end was torn off. My bike is not as bad as I expected. I was on the lookout and watching him too! I'm limited now to my access to stuff so it won't be AS easy to get back and communicate plus my cell has no coverage. I'm in NE Georgia at my sisters lake home with family for the time being. I'll be flying back to CO maybe next week from Atlanta. That is a great ride but over rated. Way too many bikes and way too much crazy #$%*. Plenty of other great mountain rides not called the Dragon. There were 2 other accidents called in while I was sitting on the side of the road with my foot dangling. Fukn crotch rocket squids!!"

Thanks for the heads up Jerry and we are all wishing you a speedy recovery. This just sucks big time!

All the best
Andy

Thanks guys. Good wishes = good healing  :)

I'll probably be heading to Atlanta tomorrow. What is that old saying, did anyone get the license number of that TRUCK that hit me? LOL. I'll be getting into the details over the next few days with everyone involved so I'll know more soon. I'm hoping the SD card on my GoPro filled up on the side of the road while waiting on the ambulance. No SD card reader with me All emergency personnel were really great and Blount Memorial Hospital has some hot nurses  ;)

How can they stop the carnage?!!? Something needs to be done. Make it one way only perhaps. Wouldn't stop accidents but road racing on a 2 lane narrow mountain road?!! I know many of you guys have sport bikes just as I have a Harley. Just don't over ride your ability or the bike. And remember, Harleys take a hit MUCH better than rockets. Don't worry about yourself, worry about others, their friends and families, their employers, etc.

Almost time for another Percocet and nap.

Hey Jerry. Sorry to hear you're laid up.
Been to the Dragon myself and Jerry's right.
Too many hotshots attracted to the place .
There are far better and safer roads to ride than the Dragon.
I hope you broke a toe or two, kicking the POS in the ribs.

Cheers

Jimmy, it's a good thing my foot was dangling and I couldn't get up. I would NOT have been civilized and he would've been worse than I am now.

I asked him if he had been down before. "Yeah, once before. Here". He pulled the power commander off his bike at the tow yard. Don't guess he'll learn his lesson until there is a death involved.

Gotta go for a while.
