New Years Resolutions! What are yours?
« on: January 02, 2016, 12:00:41 PM »
Screw losing weight or quit drinking
[I'm not drinking any more...or any less!]

Here are my Resolutions for 2016.....

1.  Restore the '74 Kaw H2 750 basket case....
[engine rebuild has begun]
It came in 5 containers...

2. Restore the '73 CB750 "Park Racer"
[It wont be going to cafes!]

3. Restore the K1 I bought about 3 years ago.
[I've started collecting parts, have Ruby Red body set, nice seat and 341's!]

What do you have planned??
'74 "Big Bang" Honda 750K [836].....'76 Honda 550F.....K3 Park Racer!......and a Bomber!............plus plus plus.........

Complete a diamond framed USD monoshock cl175 project and a gs550/685 build. At least one of them anyway. :D

Have 3 bikes ready to ride at a moments notice this season...1 750k5 vintage performance bike (I won't call it a cafe racer either, but I sure do like coffee after a long, cold ride)
DSCN0714 by Sean Barney, on Flickr
The bike is very close to done, but I have a ton of pics I need to upload... this is the one I have had since joining up here...2  '86 VF500F needs valve cover gasket (and valve clearances checked in the process), wheel bearings, and a clutch mc replaced or rebuilt
DSCN0731 by Sean Barney, on Flickr
3  Probably be this KZ650
DSCN0702 by Sean Barney, on Flickr
needs some carb tuning, valve clearances checked, and a starter clutch rebuild.  These little Kaw's handle great and will spank a stock cb750.  I want to enhance the handling of this bike with better shocks, fork brace, rearsets, and tires.  The black paint is in nice shape but it needs some stripes or something...
I got projects lined up for years to come so I better get busy. :D

What is the fun in that ..we have build threads.. And give each other useful advice...
Or you can wait till after painting/finishing to find out what is obvious to some of us..

We? Hopefully not everyone here is exactly the same or does every thing the same way. That would be really weird since humans are supposed to have independent thoughts and ideals.

I'm not exactly like anyone else! Happy New Year!

I never owed a KZ1000 but I'm not doing a resolution. Some friday I'm taking beer to where a gob of not for sale bikes are. You never know.

I've forgot it at times as well! [it's tucked away, covered up in the Batcave].

I believe you posted it, I called the guy and picked it up for $700 [+ shipping], thanks!

Could be a cool bike when I am done with it....
