Ok so my wife comes home from school the other day and relays and exchange that went on in her american sign language class. This is a night class, no just out of high school 18 year olds these are adults...

Teacher: this is the sign for woman (signs woman)
Teacher: this is the sign for man (signs man)
Student: oh, but what if they're gay?
Crickets: chirp chirp chirp...

SERIOUSLY? WTF? I don't care how ignorant/closed minded you are, how does that even make sense? A gay man or lesbian woman is still a man or a woman... Idiocy is taking over this world at an alarming rate.

Fwiw,
"lesbian" is an L kinda sign with thumb and index finger sideways with your right hand, thumb goes against your chin, like most female signs.
"gay" is the "G" sign made against the chin.

Who knows? maybe the student has some kind of private life that makes it important.

He he, "Tramp Stamps", I love that one Kit, it's so true, most chicks I know with tatts think they look cool, I just think they look like slapped out old strippers.

I don't care if they're wearing pics of their homely kids, their favorite dog, a dead sibling, or some jazzy Asian lettering that probably spells "I'm a dopey fat slut" in "Engrish", it just doesn't do a damn thing for me, and "Tramp Stamp" sums it up. I love it!

Well I understand that, but the question was presented (according to my wife) as though man or woman did not apply. She didn't ask "what's the sign for gay?" And that's where I'm stuck here...
