Worked on the K8.  Getting ready for the new Avon tires that came yesterday $199.00 for both from onoffroad.com.
Removed front wheel bearing retainer $#&%#@
Polished up the forks, front axle ends and assorted wheel parts. Painted a couple of rear end parts. Cleaned all hardware for front and rear wheel reassembly. Cleaned rear wheel bearings, greased and ready to go ;D
Waiting for a chain breaker to get off the mother F chain on there now ::)

Charging battery on CL350, hope to get it going for the season tomorrow ;D

Got the new lights installed on the 96 magna  deluxe....wow do I ever like them.  If they don't see me now...they shouldn't be on the road.

replaced the battery negative/frame ground wire with one from Napa.  seems pretty heavy duty.  Adjusted my rear brake light switch too.

Rode the heck out of it, trying to blow the carbon out from the drilled low speed jets, it still blackens the plugs, All new Honda stock size Jets, the only thing left is the needles, maybe pods would lean the dang thing enough.

+1 Still waiting on my forks... week 3.

On a kinda cool note we have this old timer that comes into the auto parts store I work at.  He was looking for some fuel line he is restoring a old 76 honda 500 that he bought new hasn't toucher it in like 10 years and we got to talking when I told him I was doing the same thing on a 75 750 you should have seen the guys eyes light up.  We talked bikes for about another 15 or 20 mins or so.  Was very cool.

After dealing with leaking AND sticking float valves for three weeks ('74 750K with 9k mi) I removed the carbs for the fouth time and polished the valve seats (400g Clover compound and mothers').  I also polished the valve tips:  The D#%$ things still leak, (OK they POUR) and the needles get hung in the valve bores occasionally!  The only way to un-stick them is to remove the bowls and gently "encourage" the valve with needlenose pliers.  Arrgh!  After removing the carbs this much, and tinkering, I have yet to be able to duplicate the problem on a workbench.  I have replaced and re-routed fuel lines, checked the petcock screen, the tank vent, (new seal too) and now, after chamfering the square corners of the float valves with a jewlers' file and an emery board, I polished them and their bores.  The float levels have always been set correctly FWIW.    Now, I am patiently waiting on new valve assemblies....  I did; however, install some "Ebay grade" bar end mirrors, and try to ride (losing traction off stop signs and lights from fuel spillage  :o).  What an improvment in rearward visability from the old mirror placment.  The BE mirrors are only 3" flat glass, but they are where they need to be, and I can SEE!  Ahhh the trials or "riding" old motorcycles  ;)  A character building experience indeed.

Front brake sucks when wet, no rain gear, old tires (new ones haven't come in yet), etc.

Since it is raining at the drag strip in Indy & we didn't go, I built a jig for welding the mounting hangers to the SS mufflers, the SS pipes came, waiting on another baffle to test.
