Took a ride into eastern Oregon and rode the Owyhee River canyon to the dam and reservoir to tide the pimp-o-saurus over until we get a handoff in eastern Idaho in the next week or two -

From that picture, it looks like you need to do something about that center stand.
At least replace the spring. Or just remove it altogether.

I recall many unpleasant experiences rubbing the center stand when I needed to lean further... A little pucker factor at times. I need to remove it from my bike now that I can't use it with the pipe. Useful for maintenance though.

In any event... One of the stops on my ride today.

Steve/750 CafĂ©.... no, it was a right hander that scraped the pipe  ;).... the center stand sits about 1inch lower than stock to stop it hitting the 4-into-1. Hasn't been a problem so far .

yesterday was the national oldtimer meet-up (nationale veteranen treffen) in woerden, here in the netherlands. i rode down together with a friend.

parking our bikes at the entrance to the mayhem. my 550 upfront, behind it my friend hugo's lx250.

the whole terrain is full of bikes and stands where you can get parts, manuals, everything...

there's a sea of little mopeds. my ss50 would have had good company there.

here's some real steampunk! this peugeot is 110 years old.

the italian corner.

a row of hondas and beemers... and hey isn't that a nice looking 550 in the back ;)

there's a signposted route you can ride. the start is via a stage where everyone stops and gets interviewed, the bike is briefly discussed and some jokes are made. they also take a picture that you get afterwards.
i'm the guy on the left, hugo on the left. you can clearly see which one of us is the bigger media slut!

just some pics from the ride

yes the land is flat around here!

the moped gang.

look:
no hands! no feet! ... no teeth!

was a nice way to spend a saturday  8)

Nice shots Andy. If I ever make it out that way, maybe I'll try for the fall season.

Jimmy, crop that car out of there and it looks like a calendar contender.

Looks great Sean! Did you get the cold front later in the afternoon today? We were around 80 then it dropped to 60 within an hour around 330pm.
