Yes! For me the handling is all different as I adjusted the dampening on the Hyperpro rear shocks and adjusted the pre-load (previously it was too soft) - now with firmer suspension the back end feels planted going around corners and the Avons just feel sticky on the corners. The 130/90s Accolodaes would drop into corners and the feel wasnt inspiring. Really enjoying the new tires/width - thanks to you and Stev-O for the feedback! Bike feels really good now. The front suspension (straight springs) need a slight adjustment (I have TTR400s pre-load adjusters installed) which Ill do next.

cheers
Andy

I have a set of black Shin yo (on my K4 see below) and a set of chrome Shin Yos (on my K2)  -the Chrome ones may have come from Ebay Uk I dont recall. There was a custom cruiser shop selling them in the US a while back.

I picked up a set in black a few years back on your recommendation from www.compacc.com
I think they still have them but their website is terrible to navigate and these mirrors aren't called Highway Hawk anymore. Last I spotted them there they were Bikemaster branded as 'tube mirror', looked just now and it's still listed. https://www.compacc.com/oemcatalogs/productsearch/aftermarket_street

Just search for part number Mirror, it brings up 16 pages.

Hope it helps someone.

Beautiful shot above, Andy.

Took the faithful 750 up Kuna Butte.  The rough road really showed how bad the shocks are.  I am going to have to do something about it one of these days.  The bike is closing in on 165,000 miles.

Magnificent pic Greg, the last few CB750's I've bought have all got Koni's on them, and while firm, they don't bottom out like OEM shocks, so if you can find some "as new" Koni's, or pony up the dough for new Ikons, you won't be disappointed. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Greg as always your photos are superb. The 750 without the fairing looks sleek and fast; 165K! Congratulations you are on target to surpass my 66K on the K2 and 92K on the K4. I have a long way to go!

cheers

My favourite place to take bike pictures. Colwood Waterfront (Esquimalt Lagoon) on Vancouver Island, west coast of Canada. Excellent riding roads in the area, one is even called "Happy Valley"... :) :) Olympic Mountains in the background, over on the US side.

One summer, I think 1971 or 1972, I took a little trip from Jacksonville, Fla. to Los Angeles, up to BC and wound back to Fla. via Denver. Went through two chains, a rear tire and some rain gear. Other than that, the K0 was flawless.
My butt could not do that any more.

This year I recognized that I wasn’t getting to the front brake rebuild and a multitude of other tasks my K1 needed performed, so I rode it into the local shop and ponied up some cash to let the pros get her back on the road. Great stopping power now from the front brake, but an unfortunate high pitched squealing is coming from the rotor/pad at almost all speeds. I’ll do some reading on the forum and avoid hijacking this great thread!

Yes mate, it's because the "Pro's" you ponied up the dough to didn't know what the fcuk they were doing, like most shops nowadays. Get some copper grease, pull your caliper apart, remove the (hopefully) new pads and smear a little copper grease on the BACKS of the disc pads, (not on the "pad to disc rotor" surface. That'll muffle the squeal, and won't be enough to run onto your (horrible) OEM POS stainless disc, which usually makes your bike actually go faster when applied in wet weather. :D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

My '71/'72/'73/'75 Frankenbike Spare Part Special is pretty well sorted to how I want it, and now I'm on "eliminate rust" duty.  It's still got an oil leak or two, but in some rather annoying places like the head gasket and valve cover, so that's going to be a problem to be fixed far in the future.

In the meantime, I figure I'll just enjoy this thing.
