Look's like we're all heading off to the race's. :)
Ev, Newmo , and I will be on the way to the Victorian Titles tomorrow.
First time for me watching somebody else racing the old girl.
Not sure how that's going to go down. :(
Good luck gentlemen. ;)

Cheers,
Brian

On the fence about coming. Lots going on here. If I do come it'll be without an SOHC unfortunately. Didn't get transmission squared away yet. Will let you guys know if we hit the road.

Ok, in the absence of communication, I'm estimating that Sam ran a 12.28 time trial, dialed in with a 12.16 for the first round and a 12.08 second round. The longer that we don't hear from them, the better that they did. Bill is running about a 12.42 on Calendar Girl. So, how's my crystal ball doing? ::) ;)

Not too bad. Bill ran a .015,RT,1.9xx 60ft,7.9xx 1/8 mile,12.3x 1/4. I had bye run until another rider showed, .015 best SET R/T for qualifying. Sam ran .106 R/T 2.3x 60 ft. 8.3x 1/8,93.76 mph 1/8.12.56 @114.49.Sam got me back in first rd, .008 R/T 12.25 dial in.2198 60ft,8.084,1/8,95.02 in 1/8!!!!!! New Samauto and Sam's PB in 1/8th! K. 12.727 1/4, won and chopped throttle! So not to be out done, I showed 'em!  ;D .028 R/T,.........bike launched went a foot or two, fell flat on its face...and stalled! :o Well I cranked it back, knew I was  still live...so rode on down the track, sightseeing, taking it easy, ran a 27.594 60ft!, finally it cleared out so I ran it out the back door for a new PB of..........42.713 for the WIN! ;D...he redlighted ! ::) Wow! K. Sam dialed a 12.25,R/T .103,2.29 60ft,8.23 1/8,94.51 mph 1/8,12.898 1/4 86.61 mph, other lane broke out and redlighted. So next rd, I ran 1.955 60ft,7.92, 1/8,12.329 109.89 mph against a 12.40 dial in, oh well, yes before I broke out, I redlighted, knew I'd break out, but knew I'd redlighted. Now the good news!
Sam's next run, 12.25 dial in,.085 R/T,2.011,1/8 7.836, new PB and Samauto best. Engine breaking in nicely. ;D 94.99 1/8 mph,.....12.06 and he chopped the throttle, would have been Samauto's first 11 second run! K.Mph was 112.07. Damn! Sam had him beat by .2411! Other lane also broke out, but by only.004! Overall probably our best Team day with Dragracer also laid down a 8.21 on a 8.20 index. Dave Fletcher and Jim F also won first rd Pro ET with 8.91 on a 8.90 index ,.006 light! Number 4 qualifier! Tired, burnt, hungry, but heading off to Hooters and we get to do it all again! We have good footage, yes Larry Larz from Mars hooked up my Go Pro, yeah baby. Thank you Larry. KMB 69 and wife and friend came, Wilbur's here, Mark52,met new owner of PMR, do you think just maybe I bought a new PM caliper, more braking surface than both Gremica's! Racer deal! Oh yes also 18mm left BRAKE master cylinder! Go Samauto! ;D. More later, some really good stories! The elusive 11 may happen tomorrow. Going to do all z little tricks......I can FIND .007! Bill

Find .007 and Sam's only .053 over an 11 second time slip. ::) That launch that Sam did was his strongest at this event by a lot. That's what got him so close to an 11. If he ran 112 mph, he didn't cut the throttle much at the finish line. The Hondamatic will run quicker than 12.25 when totally warmed up with a couple of rounds run. Any long waits between rounds and it will also slow down over a tenth as it gets cold. Wish I could be there. Made progress assembling my 'matic here. Now waiting on Kenny for a better cam chain tensioner for my new motor. Good luck tomorrow!!

Nice work Sam, Bill and Frank!
Sam told me he will NOT race in US anymore, perhaps I can find a way to make him come to Finland one more time with better luck and weather.

Short race report, been awesome day again....not over yet...ok not over for Sammy! Reversal of last time. I went out in 2nd rd. Sam waiting for 3rd rd now!  8) I ran a .002 R/T best in SET qualifying! No bye, even number of racers! ;D. Sam ran a 12.05 second rd, new PB and Samauto's best ;D. Ran in front of me so I could GoPro it. Last thing I heard from Larry as he popped me visor down, Sam just ran 12.05! Yeh baby......so to salvage some respect, I dug deep, and now Calendars Girl's best ET was a 12.25... with the smoothbores! Went back to stock carbs yesterday morning, so what did the lights and slip say? Drum roll, 12.054. Yippee kye yeah! ??? So of course we compare, damn uppity Englishman....Sam 's slip 12.051, beat again by .003! ;D He's trying to get my R/T record also, he ran a .007 and .010 today. Mine was .002, .041, and z redlight. :D oh did I say Ricky Gadsen's boy from Japan pulled up beside him in first round on a ZX14 and behind him a ZX1200R to pick on Bill!
If they still running  they a little poorer! ;) I won by .022, Sam by more. ;D yeh we already broke our 95.02 mph, first run 1/8 mile time, new 1/8 mile record 95.2x. Sam ran 7.850,1/8, me 7.718! K.1.93 60 ft me, Sam 2.033. Damn, we broke it again ...now 95.38 mph!!!!!!!K. We actually dialed Sam a 11.96,ran the 12.05. Getting there, first run with a 11 second dial in! Sam 1000ft, 10.099, me 10.039! More later, gotta turn on the gas, cause someone keeps taking time off me lifespan by forgetting to turn it  on! Did it to me twice yesterday! ;D as the one responsible for state of tune, missing and spitting and popping ain't snap, crackle and pop to a tuner's ears!  ;D More later, gotta get Samauto ready....kick the tires and turn ON the gas!  Dave Fletcher just put BayBay Yarborough on the trailer in SComp. Sam beat him earlier in second rd of SET! He's a good rider! ;D  Dragracer's group doing well also. Man, what a good day! Bill and Sam and Team Sam Green. 8)

Bill,
     You found your .007  ;)

Unless the air temp drops another 25+ degrees, Sam won't see an 11 second time slip today. If he does, it's because of his Popeye's left fore arm/hand. Great lights and good racing for all there this weekend.

Ian King put Spider-Man Larry McBride out in Top Fuel! Larry's first loss in Man Cup Top Fuel, way to go Ian! K. Off to Top Fuel finals!  ;D
