so I did some more grinding on the rotors and the brakes only grab the tiniest bit, enough to live with for now.   I think I can work it out some more, but I'll do that later. I don't have Harley parts for my make-shift grinding jig and it's VERY time consuming without it.
also-
I got the headlight brackets drilled and remounted.
The 1 inch hole takes some filing to get perfectly round because the drill bit is so big and the piece is so thin, it makes a sort-of triangular hole at first. 

I ran out of sandpaper so I'll shine em up later.  
the headlight bucket needed some modification because the clutch cable was rubbing the paint off it,  so I heated it up with torch and rolled it on a 1 inch rod to get a curved shape in it. 

 A little paint matching and the lines aren't all cramped up in there anymore.
 (I put some protective stickers on there)

  oh, and I made the wiring hole a lot bigger.
Still wanna graft my old lever onto the new master cylinder. but that can wait.
