I would deflate. It fully spray a little silicon lube around the rim and then re-inflate

If you mean the bead is not seated, a little off the rim yea, spray it and re inflate. If that doesn't work, deflate a bit and smack the tread with a rubber mallet, don't swing for the fences or let all the air out either.
That which does not kill you leaves cool scabs which turn into awesome scars.

It's like the rubber "pin-stripe" that should be all evenly away from the rim has been swallowed up by the rim presumably where it had been sitting...if that makes sense?

Wow that was harder than I thought but the rear brake is back on and working. Is it even possible to get the spindle part on without removing the cotter pin? My bike definitely was dropped on its right side by the PO. The right foot peg and the brake spindle parts are slightly bent. Had to rubber mallet the spindle its slightly bent and tough to get through the hole...anyways wow that took some time. None of the manuals have good pics or info on how the entire drum brake lever assembly goes together...What a hot Valentine's day

First test fit of the triple A pipes.

This is a 78k. Am I going to have to grind down that first lip?

The "half moon" should press into the header tube? Between the slotted outer and the smaller inner?

I think those aaa pipes are designed for the ko-k6 style exhaust spigots...you need to get the exhaust spigots from k0-k6, they are just like a short little pipe(1-1/2 to 2" or so?) that screws to the head where your studs are, then your aaa headers slip over the spigot and clamp on.  Wish I had pics for you, hopefully someone will be along shortly with some.
If it works good, it looks good...

I’m with Seanbarney41 as you need the earlier K0 to K6 exhaust spigots & mounting hardware, then it’s a bolt-on affair. Those are cool pipes!  ;)

Yeah, I like those pipes too. Would be worth the effort (for me at least) to switch to the earlier spigot connectors. Those pipes are wicked cool...  8)

I'm PRETTY SURE the spigots will bolt up. I've got some spigots I can bolt up to a K8 head just to be sure. The studs would be removed and replaced with countersunk head machine bolts. I'll test fit tomorrow and report back, unless someone else can chime in here that has already done it. I've got a set of drag pipes earmarked for a future build that will require the spigot connectors as well.

 You have to remove the studs, just double nut them, when they start to move, like 1/4 turn , wiggle back and forth...easier on the threads. Easy job to change to spigots,,

??? All of the exhaust studs I've encountered were painless to remove. I use the exhaust nuts, doubled up (flange to flange) and twist'em right out. Maybe I've just been lucky? In fact, my latest project (78 CB750F) had to remove the engine four times(!) chasing oil leaks and I removed the exhaust studs for cyls 1 through 3 each time to help avoid gouging the paint off the frame.

No,no,no,no. The spigot flanges have countersunk holes. The engine does NOT have to be removed. The engine removal reference was to illustrate the ease with which the exhaust studs could be removed. Engine removal from the frame not necessary to convert to spigots.

Without having these parts immediately available to touch and see, at the moment, I can think of ways to use the spigots with your exhaust studs...but it would probably be more hassle than just changing 'em out for the stock screws.  `The clamps would be the biggest tangle, I think.  Oh yeah...don't forget you are gonna need clamps.
If it works good, it looks good...

They should. A few of the studs will be difficult to remove as the frame rails interfere with the swing of the wrench. But you should be OK.

Dig out any old gasket material and fit new gaskets before install of the spigots.

Here are the spigots you need and countersunk socket screws will be needed too. That's a fantastic exhaust and worth the extra work needed to mount it correctly.
