Met Ben (bender01) for lunch today in Brunswick, GA for the handoff. Superslabbed all the way, had to get home before the daily monsoon we get here every afternoon throughout the summer. Right at 470 miles round trip. Not bad for one day riding.

Ben was going from Brunswick to central SC to make the handoff to doggie who will carry PZ on to Myrtle Beach. PZ will have covered about 500 miles today upon arrival in Myrtle Beach. Not bad.

New Englanders, you're coming up soon! Time to start making plans and reaching out!

Hit white out rain and Lightning near Savannah Ga. Almost stopped, traveling in first gear(I-95) like others for several miles til a bridge. Waited awhile looked at radar and the next few hours were green red and yellow the next 100 plus miles. Limped it home and will take it to drop off tomorrow evening with Doggie!

Looking forward to meeting you tomorrow at Santee State Park and taking PZ to Myrtle Beach for some Sun and Fun. Kingkong is at the top of the Empire State Building here and I know PZ will want to meet him.

Tomorrow I'm taking PZ up to Fayetteville, NC for the handoff to
Airborne 82nd. That still is a long way from you. You might want to get a hold of him and work something out.

Vicman, I travelled to Lynchburg to send PZ South before. If the time is right, I can travel further and make it to the VA/NC border to meet you.

Just saying - to show somebody in VA is paying attention

Edit: it was GZ, not PZ.

I could meet up with 82nd somewhere along the 1-40 corridor or Asheboro - Winston Salem and make a long day of it and try a run up to Lynchburg. I'd most likely need to spend the night up there and use some numbing cream on the saddle area 41 year old foam isn't as comfortable as it was when they made it.

Doug No can do the trip. I am going to call you in the next hour and see if there is any options that I can help with. I have the bike ready going in a few minutes for shake down. It is the distance that is the issue. Crohn's disease is kicking my ass at the moment. So the Doc has me on Methadone Oxycontin and prednisone but that is not the way to ride (drive). I can hold off on the meds and try to meet at a rest area or something like that will talk in a minute.

PZ visited Myrtle Beach today. Went on the Ferris Wheel, checked out the beach and the pier. Went for dinner at Peaches Hot Dogs and enjoyed a cold beer.

Do what you need to get better, we'll still be here. Worst case I'll be riding through there soon and can carry GZ up to Virginia in a couple of weeks if necessary. We'll figure something out, you just focus on getting to feeling better and we'll hold your spot for the next one.

OK I have this little monster on the table next to my recliner watching a Godzilla movie. Anyone within a hundred miles or so of Goldsboro NC that wants to be a part of this historic event post here or send me a PM and we can work out the details. I can go a little further but will have to take the car. I'm not sure what direction the little guy wants to go from here.
