Sam Green Recovery Fund
« on: June 21, 2014, 04:24:31 pm »
Yes, Sam's going to be needing help. Larry and I are in the process of setting up a fund now, probably Paypal, but other options will be available. We need to rally around Sam, he means so much to so many. He opened his eyes this afternoon after med reduction, responded like they wanted, they are real pleased. So they sedated him again. really wonderful news. Great staff he's got! Had to tell them about the iconic "Sam Green"!  ;D I know Sam can count on y'all!
As soon as everything's worked out, I'll post the details, God Bless everyone and thank you all, Bill.

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I'm in, it's ironic that it was Sammy who set up the Bear fund for Brian only a couple of years ago, and now it's Sammy who needs some help. As Brian said, what goes around, comes around. Cheers, Terry. ;D

God luv ya uncle Tez and God luv our old mate uncle Sammy as well.

People need to know that even when your medical costs are covered, the ancillary costs with being laid up for any length of time can strain not only your financial stability, but the worry that it can instill is truly crushing.

The support that Sammy and Terry organized and all you blokes on this forum got behind not only swept my fear and worry away, it helped me to find the strength to attack my recovery with a passion.
I honestly believe it made the difference.
I would not be where I am now but for the support that Sam, Terry and all of you gave me.

Please, I ask that you all give Sammy that same support.
I have no doubt that you will. You certainly did with me.
We're all mates.
We look after our mates.

Cheers,
Brian
