Just wanted to publicly congratulate Bill on his first 10 second pass. Very well deserved after chasing the number for so long. It's been a journey but he got it done. That bike has a lot more in it from what I could determine from the time slip.Once that 60' goes down, mid tens here we come.

Forgot to mention that I  made rounds today also. Got to the final 7 bikes I think it was.  Had a .004 light but gave up the stripe after rolling out of the throttle a tad too soon, didn't see him as I was closing in on the line and roll on and off the throttle one to many times.  Ran a 10.70 on my 10.68 dial in to my opponents 9.351 on his 9.35 dial in.

Won a little $$$ and earned some much needed points. Not a bad weekend.

Just want to say congratulations to all that have set new Personal Bests this weekend, whether ET, RT, 60', MPH, etc. If you broke your own record, wear it proudly. 8)

As for me, I'm up to my elbows in meat salad cromagnon sheet metal surgery trying to find a fuel leak in the vicinity of the fuel sending unit on top of the fuel tank in my 97 Suburban. Wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't at a rest stop outside Tallahassee, five hours from the house...

Well, I finally made it in the 10's! Won rd one. Lost in Rd 2 to Joey Gladstone. Lost on a double breakout.I got him off the line, .040 to his .056. Chopped the throttle, took off at least a .1 and 5 mph! Still beat him to the line by .096! Lol Several personal bests for me, Wilbur, Trey and Frank beating Joey was the coolest! I want to thank all of you that helped. No doubt Cobra Girl can do lots better..and will!
More later, we're having big fun, wish you all were here with us. Should have left the 10.80 dial in from round one, oh well.

Way to go Billy!  ;D  ;D  ;D

Turns out my problem is intermittent. After cutting out the carpet and cutting out the floorboard, with the engine running it now refuses to leak. Damn the torpedos, I'm headed for the house, even if I have to do it as "Ghost Rider"...

Congrats to Frank and Bill with condolences to Wilbur. Frank may be forgetting about those other brands at this consistency stage. And he's just now gotten it broken in LOL. Bill is on to bigger things AND he still has an ace in the AZ hole.

Wilbur, while your at it, may as well take that can opener and open up the roof and make a hauler out of it. Hope you, Suburban, bike and trailer make it home OK. You never surprise me with your resourcefulness!! 
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Wilbur,  good luck.  I wrote about Frank on Facebook! It was the high light of the weekend!  He also won the $. , I ran more mph on Saturday,  122.14, but it was qualifying. Wilbur almost had R/T $, but Frank got em when he put Joey out. 004. one day and .017. the other. ET he won with 10.6 and 10.7. Frank is thec"Man" More later. Bill

Dang it Wilbur, you and that truck. Been there, done that and hated it when it happened.

I was just trying to make some rounds this weekend towards my goal of a top 5 finish this season and hopes of a race win. I was one round out of that opportunity Saturday but gave it up at the line. I had another chance to keep advancing Sunday but blew that on misjudging the stripe. I threw that .004 light straight out the window as it may have allowed the chance for a best reaction time bye.

WILBER: The folks on the site want to know what your spark plugs [ 4 ] looked like Saturday night at MEMPHIS AT 3500 DA and what you did to try and make them better for your drag bike. Your carbs are slides and not CV carbs that were made for changing elevation years ago = I think HONDA OR SUZUKI can up with that carb set up CV's.

Your carbs are slides and not CV carbs that were made for changing elevation years ago = I think HONDA OR SUZUKI can up with that carb set up CV's.

I'll post picts of the plugs over in the Manufacturer's Cup thread once I get them out for inspection. The plugs I pulled Friday afternoon that were run at Rockingham, which had the same DA of 3500' that we were seeing at Memphis, were black and sooty. I changed my main jets in my stock "keyhole" carbs Friday afternoon from 110 to 105 and put new plugs in so we should get a good plug read from the Memphis runs.

Bill,

Glad to see you hit your goals for a solid 10 second run.  Now, the plug you showed above, did you ride the bike back from the shut down and pull the plugs? If so, those plugs are JUNK for reading jetting!! And I mean JJUUNNKK!!  You must put new plugs in, fire it up, burn out, make the run, and shut it off when you chop the throttle at the strip, tow it back, then pull the plugs for inspection.  Anything else just wasting time. You want the plug to have a very light tan or grey circle at the bottom of the porcelein where it meets the outer metal shell and look like it was never even run in the first place. If you saw a plug from my engine after 1 or maybe 2 runs on nitrous, you would think I would melt the pistons, it's that clean. 

Hope you come back next race. We need the bikes in the lanes.  Very slim turnout!!

And the ground electrode appears to be an Autolite plug, not NGK.  Autolite, but won't ;D

Bill, did the last dyno-test include an Air/fuel measurement?
