If one of the Raliegh are guys can get it and bring it a little further west I would be happy to get it closer to VA. 70CB750 may be closer to you than I am otherwise.

Looking at the map, Vicman is right.

Let's wait and see if anybody steps forward.  This weekend is out with Father's day and what not, but I could actually ride to Raleigh on Monday.

One thing, I am not getting on 95 in Virginia, that road is insane, I would be taking 15 or 29.

I'm still a working stiff so weekday jaunts are out for the most part. However I do travel for work and could possibly get over in that area on 4 wheels next week.

OK I have this little monster on the table next to my recliner watching a Godzilla movie. Anyone within a hundred miles or so of Goldsboro NC that wants to be a part of this historic event post here or send me a PM and we can work out the details.  I can go a little further but will have to take the car. I'm not sure what direction the little guy wants to go from here.

PM sent.

OK every thing on schedule should meet up late tonight or some time tomorrow. I have to get this guy (PZ) out of the house before coco ( one of those little Mexican dogs) eats him or dies trying. ;D
Wilbur Check your phone want to let you know if you get within 100-150 miles and have any issues don't hesitate to call even at 3am will bring parts tools or God forbid a trailer.
Have a safe trip talk later.

Handoff complete! PZ hangin in Raleigh today after ripping off 620 miles to get here. We'll be putting down another 130 miles tomorrow to get to the drags in Petersburg, VA for the handoff to dusterdude.

We shall see. I'm sure somebody will be at the track, but Sam went down today and is in the hospital. Anxiously waiting details...

How far up into Maine? I may be able to do a handoff within New Brunswick, Canada. PZ could meet my 10 month old...

Hey everyone.  PZ got into waterville, ME with Jon and me on Monday evening.  I know we got kind of out of order here, but when we were packing up at the end of the day on Sunday, and no one was there to continue, Bill Benton handed him off to us for the 15hr trip to Maine.

PZ is currently with Mr. Weeks in Waterville, but since he doesn't ride on the street anymore, I will most likely be the one making the next handoff.  Let me know which direction you guys want to go.  I live in Hampden, but I'm willing to ride in any direction as long as it's not more than a day trip (too busy lately to do more).  If evanphi would like to have the next leg, maybe we could meet in Calais? ...I would love to come over, but I still don't have a pass card.  Canada is nice enough about it, but US customs can be a pain coming back over.

Sorry for the late check-in.  I'm not on here as much as I'd like to be anymore, but I will check back often until PZ hits the road again.
I enjoyed reading the chronicles of PZ's adventures on our ride home!

Also, Wilbur - it was very nice to meet you.  I hope you had a good (and dry) ride to Ohio!

Thanks,
Adam

Handoff had been arranged for a more local connection. That connection was not made.  :( I rode 750 miles to make the connection from my end... so when the other half of the connection fell through we were forced to improvise.

I did my two legs:

Leg 1: St Cloud, FL to Brunswick, GA on June 8th and handoff to bender01. 250 Zilla' miles, 500 total miles round trip
Leg 2: St Cloud, FL to Benson, NC to meet Airborne 82nd to recollect PZ on June 20th. Carried it to Raleigh, NC and then on to Petersburg, VA on June 21st. Another 200 Zilla' miles, 1500 miles (*effectively) round trip.

Soooo.... 450 Zilla' miles, and 2000 (*again "effectively") total miles.  8)

*The "effective" miles are based on my turning around in Parkersburg, VA and going home. That wasn't good enough, so I continued on up to northwestern Ohio to see family via US Highway 250 through Western VA/Eastern WV. My first hour and a half along this route was done after dark on Saturday night. I'm willing to bet this Highway 250 is every bit as "interesting" as the Tail of the Dragon. I'll find out Friday, since I plan to get lost in the mountains this Friday:

>Deals Gap
>Cherohala Skyway
>Six Gaps

Finally get to put some wear on the sidewalls! (Florida is kinda flat you know...)

I will have covered about 2500 miles this trip (ten days) on my K8 by the time I get home. Add to that the 500 miles back on June 8th to meet bender01 in Brunswick, and I will have ridden 3000 miles in less than three weeks.

I would expect that before the jump was made, people waiting for GZ - like me - would be kept in the information loop. If I knew what is gonna happen I would take time of work and fetched him from NC or whatever place he was kept.

But there was no information shared till he was in Maine.

Um... yeah... I was hoping to participate as well.

I actually have notifications on this thread to my cell phone, and have been keeping an eye to see when it comes close to PA.

Definitely an impressive ride Madmtmmotors, and I understand the desire to get GZ moving, but I think there should have been more posts here communicating the status.

I hope I'm not coming across as a complainer, just stating my opinion.  Getting people organized and coordinated to move GZ is clearly challenging.  I think we need to come up with a better system for next year... I'll try to brainstorm some ideas.

Oh well I have one more reason to make it to Barber in October to meet that old lizzard again.

Is it October 10?
