Gorgeous bunch of bikes going to be showing up...I guess the trip caught everyone a little slow out of the blocks with a few exceptions.  Possibly the difference between riding vintage bikes versus more modern, or in some cases trailering them...  nothing wrong with the trailering but riding can be a lot more fun.

We went to Mesa Verde to check out some of the ancient cliff dwellings.  Cool stuff.

I'm going to try to get to the camp ground about 10am in the morning.

When this was scheduled it was said to be Aug 15-17 with departure on the 17th...
looks like many have viewed the 15 th as a very soft date. Given some have had issues along the way or delays I can understand the need for flex.  There wasn't a schedule given or just the general, lets get together drink and do a ride around somewhere (ride before the drinking of course...:D ) most likely up to Telluride and then back down US50 to Durango  from Oury/Silverton  area wher the road from Telluride connects.  Driving down the San Juan Highway which is gorgeous from the photos...the ride up 145 to Telluride is pretty too others have reported.

Hopefully more arrived safely this evening and afternoon.

Bud, I guess you & Rose are staying at a hotel rather than at the campground?

Great news!
Have fun today and ride safe!
The ride to Telluride and back in a loop is likely to take 6-7 hours easily...around 250 ish miles ...but uncertain on miles, less than 300.

Jerry and Frank obviously...Scott won't stand by and let them have all the fun...
Jerry intended for Frank to give him a hand early on...
If a collection of talent is around, why waste it?

I have done this on cars and motorcycles many times.

I know their kind of "crazy" I am one of them...

Hey Folks..
Great pics! I was thinking of joining you-all..but just haven't been able to swing-it this year.  (Especially wanted to meet Frank in-person..see Jerry too BTW).  I'm quite familiar with all the places you have been posting on..especially in Colorado.

Can't remember if it's been mentioned before..but if any of you can book a ride on the Durango & Silverton RR..I highly recommend it.  Not hard to imagine you're back in the late 1800's when you ride on that train BTW.
Please have a great..enjoyable time..all of you.  And please keep posting pics of your adventures.
