Cool, let us know when the 550 IS READY!
I am patiently waiting but not looking good so far for the 550/500s. Need more people to be interested in it for anders to start I guess.

Anders, what is the count at for the 500/550 list?

It look like six people want one for the 500/550 we would need another four people.  The list is getting old so if another four people want  one I will need
to make sure everyone still wants one

Hi the cost is $625.00 plus shipping. You need to send me your large starter gear so I can modify it.

Count me out. If it were a bolt on product I would be interested 100%. Modifying engine internals means I'm out.

No internal mods at all, the gear is under the cover, if you have the cover off to replace that alternator then its simple...?

I'm confused about the confusion as well. You have to remove the stock rotor in order to install the upgraded alternator. With the stock rotor removed, the starter gear is right there...

A stock starter gear could always be reinstalled with the stock alternator if you were concerned about being able to return it to stock condition. A used starter gear in good condition should not be hard to find. In fact, you could even secure a used starter gear and send that one in for modification. This would prevent any "down time" while waiting for the required mods to be made.  8)

This would leave you with the original starter gear and alternator as a backup in the event that the new, 32 amp alternator, ever fails...

For the 750  try and get a starter gear that hasn't been hammered where the rollers hit the gear. Anders and I went through a few of my spare gears before we got found one that was in great shape. The new rotor really grips the starter gear as it has numerous rollers.

Hello everyone I have sold all the first run of the CB750 alternators. And want to see how many may be interested in one to get an idea
what size batch to run this time. I'm still planning to design a 550 kit this spring just to say I did it. Let me know?

The cost is $625.00 plus shipping. You need to send me a good starter gear the one that on the end of the crank.
You can send your complete alternator minus the flywheel and I will do  80% of the install.

The 750 stator and field coil weigh a bit over 5 pounds; it would save some money on shipping if a bare alternator case was shipped...

It is the best improvement I have seen that actually works. It is a a good look at the foibles associated with the CB750 and a logical answer. Hondaman should have done this!

Anders, I would eventually like 3, I'll jump in for 1 at the moment, but sending a good starter gear from Australia would add considerably to the cost, any suggestions...?    Mike, got a good starter gear laying around..?   Anyone...?

The cost is $625.00 plus shipping. You need to send me a good starter gear the one that on the end of the crank.
You can send your complete alternator minus the flywheel and I will do  80% of the install.

Anders, I would eventually like 3, I'll jump in for 1 at the moment, but sending a good starter gear from Australia would add considerably to the cost, any suggestions...?    Mike, got a good starter gear laying around..?   Anyone...?
I may have one Mick. It is too bad you can't just cut them on a lathe as you will go through the flame hardened surface
