More like what I've done this week...

Removed rear sissy-bar
Painted kick stand, main stand, foot pegs, and front caliper
New Emgo GT style clutch and brake levers
Lots of polishing

(New levers not pictured...or painted main stand)

To do this week:

Pamco ignition and Dyna coils
MAYBE install the drag bars if I can tear myself away from riding it...

Well, not today, but yesterday I flogged the crap out of my K8 750 for 240 miles up to Brunswick, GA to have lunch with bender01 and hand off the "baton" for this year's relay. Then I turned around and flogged it for another 240 miles to get back home for a daily total of 480 miles.  8)

Going to be adding a zero to that one-way number on an upcoming trip. Getting ready to lay down 2400 miles!  :o

New Oury grips arrived by post today... Put on new stainless bolts for clutch and points covers, as well as airbox hanger bolts.

I've got my bi-annual headcold (Fall and Spring, without fail...)... so that means even though I was home sick from work my wife said I had to rest. I sneaked the bolts on while she took the baby for a drive. ;D

Still waiting on my new hardpipe for the caliper to arrive from Slingshot... then its just that and the grips til I can ride again! Its been almost two weeks!

More rust/paint removal. Battery box, rear pegs and mounts, one engine mount. About that much more in the 'bath' to scrub-a-dub when they're done. : )

Chrome chain guard arrived today from DSS. Quality is disappointing but looks OK on the bike. If you want show quality chrome chain guard, look elsewhere.

Where'd you get those pipes Nic? They're awesome! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Thanks Terry, they are as close as I could get to the old Dunstall system that you see in my avatar which I've always loved from the good old days. The headers are simply Mac 4/2s and the mufflers I got off ebay from here in Oz. The hard part was having intermediate pipes made up, I was fortunate to be introduced to a very good man in Canberra who made them for me.

That's nice work Nic, I was wondering where I'd seen that system before, Steve K0 has a Dunstall sytem like that one in his garage in Wallan. Nice! Cheers, Terry. ;D

A little more rust removal, today before work instead of after :P
The other motor mount bracket, gauge bracket, seat hinge & pin, drivers foot-peg shield and the rear caliper arm.

I plopped the center stand in the juice for the day. It's a big piece and I seem to be averaging a amp to 2-ish amps so I haven't been worried about leaving the parts in all day or over night.

Speaking of the seat hinge pin, does anyone know if that was zinc plated? I might put it aside to wait with the fasteners for a zinc refresh. : )

I believe it was ClassicCycleCity that supplied me with stainless steel hinges and hinge pins. Cool.

I needed to change my oil before I go on a motorcycle camping trip this weekend so I took it for a short ride to get the oil warm.  I didn't have a lot of mileage on this oil but wanted it out as it was a brand I don't like and I wanted a higher viscosity oil for the summer.  When I dumped the old oil it came out like pure water, I couldn't believe it was so thin.  Thank god its out though and put some 20w-50 in now that we're in the 90s.  OBX ready.
